1. I hope this ad is effective in bringing some Republican stalwarts to sanity.

But to be frank, watching Ronald read his lines reminds me of 12 years which plainly laid groundwork for the advent of the very creature he decried so eloquently. Reagan was so insufferably shallow as to cause actual pain to the discriminative observer. His message and legacy created and left only new layers of corruption he was too unaware, too foolhardy, too senile to understand.

And they sure could use the reminder. I was obviously not a fan of Reagan, but he was pro-immigration, he was extremely tough on Russia (then USSR - "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down his wall!" ) and joined the other former presidents - Carter and Ford - in supporting President Clinton to get the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban passed.
