1. What I enjoy most about this skit. . .

. . . Is that it points out the disconnect between the actions of those political Christians and the teachings ascribed to Jesus in the Gospels.

One doesn't have to accept Gospel events as historical accounts or believe in any supernatural claims from scripture to acknowledge the worthiness of some of the values being promoted in religious stories.

And by extension of the same premise, there are "values" and ideas promoted in some religious stories that are horrible.
