That a hard fought battle was waged and an agreement decided upon. This would have changed the rules for immigration in this country.

But do you recall who called on Republicans to ditch the agreement?

3. My spouse is naturalized and

I’m terrified. Obama’s signature is on his citizenship papers and I worry that they could strip my spouse’s citizenship even for that reason. Or his Asian brown skin. He’s the breadwinner and I couldn’t survive without him.

Edit: I wanted to add that she explains the process well. It took years for us and it’s completely complicated for no reason whatsoever.

4. So I'm a "naturalized citizen"

I was born to two natural born American parents overseas in a Dutch hospital so I have a Dutch birth certificate and Dept of State issued naturalization papers but I am supposed to still be an American because both by parents were natural born Americans.

Doesn't mean I'm not worried. They could still do it to me as well. I'm a Liberal Progressive Democrat and I will never deny that or change who I am. And that may be reason enough.
