He Voted For Trump. It Cost Him His Job - More Perfect Union

In Maine, trades workers are facing catastrophic layoffs.
Why? Trump has cancelled hundreds of billions of dollars for clean energy projects to pay for tax cuts for the wealthy in his ‘Big Beautiful Bill.’
Workers who voted for him told us they’re paying the price.

More Perfect Union is an Emmy-winning, nonprofit newsroom whose mission is to build power for working people. Here’s what that means: We report on the real struggles and challenges of the working class from a working-class perspective. We attempt to connect those problems to potential solutions. We report on the abuses and wrongdoing of corporate power. And we seek to hold accountable the ultra-rich who have too much power over America’s political and economic systems.

that he never saw the convicted idiot rail against solar energy and windmills, although his stupid drill-baby-drill obsession was everywhere to be seen.

Hundreds of thousands of good-paying jobs gone and the leopards are stuffed.

Trump voters think they have no responsibility here and I call B.S. They did this and I'm happy when I see that they are paying the price. It's only right.

I think if he could swallow his pride. He's cutting the things that Joe Biden did that made labor so good, in the name of "I don't like Joe Biden, so I don't want to stand for anything he stood for." But you shouldn't be cutting something that your predecessor did that was good, because he was your predecessor. You should continue to build on the good things that he did.

Tell me you're a bigot without telling me you're a bigot. Harris made it clear that was her plan. Trump expressed contempt for everything Biden did.

I wish I could find more sympathy for these guys but they didn't pay the attention they should have paid and I strongly suspect they were too manly to vote for a woman.

In any casem the big money they were getting was always going to be temporary. Solar fields don't need that much maintenance once they're up and running. Those on leased land can come and go when the lease expires and the owner wants to make other use of the land. There just won;t be as much of a boom job market for electricians once the infrastructure is in place.

Guys like this never really think that far ahead and they never seem capable of paying attention. I guess I feel sorry for them in that way, I'd hate to go through life with those limitations.

I just wish they'd stop taking the rest of us with them. I mean really, stop voting, guys.

What did you think would happen, with an asshole whose slogan is “drill baby drill” and who denies climate change.
