1. I am so glad to see that they are issuing guidelines on specialized units.

I wish they would also encourage the disuse of military equipment. Leos should not appear to be at war with our citizens.

I hope you are not going to be having terrible weather!

And we have only had one serious snow so far, it's been mostly rain since the temps have been well above freezing - which is unusual in these parts. We're expecting snow overnight tonight when the temps dip below freezing, but it's supposed to change to rain in the morning when it goes back into the 40s. We seem to have a wind advisory every day now, but I'd rather deal with that than a snowstorm. Hoping that you're well and dry, my friend!

so not too bad. There are no predictions of snow here, but we are to start dropping into the teens at night. brrrr. I am glad that we have four seasons here, but I am really a spring/fall person.

The summers have gotten unbearably hot and back in the day I had a summer job at an amusement park and I don't know how workers there now stand it. Back when I worked there, my boss used to send the mechanics around with "salt pills" for those of us out in the heat. And I don't know how the rest of the winter will turn out, but it's mostly in the low 30s overnight, then gets up above 40 during the day. I'm not counting on it staying that way, but I'm grateful for it while it lasts.

Stay warm, my friend! I remember when my grandmother moved to a retirement community in Western North Carolina, beautiful country and I visited her often. But when they got any snow at all, people would freak out and you didn't want to be on the roads with them. My younger cousin moved there permanently after attending college there and I asked her what they did if they got any real snow - and she said that they just waited for it to melt!
