ALLOWING how crass and bullying he can get is a way of SHOWING how nervous and threatened this monster truly is. 
Over and over, he "knows nothing about it, he 'may have heard'".... then disparaging a fine reporter like an unchecked 13 year old deliquent. You can FEEL THE CREEPY VILENESS come oozIng out of every one of his pancake-makeup coated pores!
