Hindu, none of this is surprising. My theory--he is fixated on what it will take to complete his "big lie transformation" to make him the "heir apparent" to the Xian mantel and thus the 2028 MAGA candidate. Yes, I think he is so ruthless that he will do or say ANYTHING to make it happen. I think that is apparent to even SOME MAGA, but clearly he thinks he can bamboozle the rest.

It is clear that he's made some enemies (Steve Bannon, for one) and others are intent on their own aspirations (Stephen Miller, many of the lizard-brained RWers in Congress) so one can hope for maximal metaphorical "stab in the back" responses. But, his wife may want to rediscover that intellect she had before meeting and enabling this clown, make the first move, protect the children, and expose him completely well before the next Presidential primary race begins. Maybe make some friends of her SS detail, just in case...
