The lyrics and music are great, and the singer sounds like someone famous who I can't think of right now.

spring. No thought or talent required.

If it sounds at all good, it's because the AI companies producing the tools used by whoever has that YouTube channel stole the world's intellectual property.

I'm not really up on modern country singers, but the singer sounded like someone I've heard before on the radio. Sounded like a band backing him up. AI is taking over fast! The new update to my iPhone is AI. There's going to be some massive restructuring taking place. I'm not really looking forward to the next ten years or so. I hope we have Democrats in control by then and we can mitigate the damage done to regular Americans.

no talent and no ideas of their own, and no conscience if they don't care that the AI tools they're using were trained on all the intellectual property - text, images and music - that the AI companies could steal.

The main message sent by people having AI generate slop - if they know the tools are based on theft - is that they don't mind the theft by AI companies and the harm done to real writers, visual artists and musicians.

So the underlying message is an anti-liberal message. A pro-exploitation message. Anti-humanity.

Every AI video like this that gets created and posted shows contempt for real art and artists.

And if the AI users having software churn out this sort of thing believe it makes them creative, they're delusional.

These are tools that discourage people from learning to write, create visual art, or make music themselves. Which is fine with the AI companies. They want people dependent on their tools. And they have no intention of allowing free access to those tools indefinitely. OpenAI and Perplexity have mentioned possibly charging $1,000/mo, once people become dependent enough on them.

YouTube is being flooded with this sort of crap.

Music platforms are getting tens of thousands of AI tracks PER DAY dumped on them.

All of this buries authentic messages and real creativity from humans.

And all the AI slop sends the loudest possible FU message to real artists.

5. I'll take your word for it that this is AI.

I am truly sorry this post was offensive to you, but I'm not going to issue a blanket apology for posting it. With all the insane, abusive, and horrible crap that's happening in this country right now, I just don't have the bandwidth to carefully analyze every video that I find amusing enough to post for signs of AI. This particular video gave me some chuckles at a dark and scary time, and it seems to have done that for others as well. That's not something I feel obligated to apologize for.

Fwiw, I'm checking out the channel right now, and everything I'm seeing there is anti-Trump and anti-MAGA. Saying that the underlying message is anti-liberal, pro-exploitation, and anti-humanity seems a bit extreme to me. AI is problematic for sure, but the end of the day, it's a tool that can be used for many purposes. In this case, it's being used to oppose Trump, and that's a good purpose, imo.

the different voices in the music, the different styles of music, and the different types of AI art.

Whoever has the channel isn't a musician or an artist, but someone trying different stuff pretty randomly to see what's the best clickbait. Odds are all the lyrics are generated by AI, too. They might have a pro-Trump channel under another name, too. It requires zero political commitment and very little time to churn out videos like this.

And even if they're sincerely anti-Trump, they're trampling all over artists' rights so they can pretend to have the ability to create art and music. That is anti-liberal and pro-exploitation. It's also fraud, when they haven't labeled what they had AI spit out for them as AI. And even if it is labeled, it's still fake messaging, fake art.

Videos that are generated using AI should be clearly labeled as such, no question. Not to do so is dishonest at best and deliberately misleading at worst. The more of this stuff there is, the more being able to easily identify it is going to matter.

Unfortunately, I feel like AI is a runaway horse at this point. It's busted out of the barn, and I don't see how anyone is ever going to be able to put it back in. 🫤

a small horse farm. You don't give up on getting runaway horses back where they belong. Especially if they might do any harm.

More misleading AI slop was posted here, in another forum, last night. The DUer didn't realize it was AI and deleted the OP after I pointed it out.

This was a channel of AI slop pretending to show what life was like in the past. See my replies in that thread for some details about how bad it was:

I also posted in GD about AI slop videos targeting seniors with bad medical advice:

A lot of those supposedly American YouTube channels are actually from content farms in Vietnam.

There's a very good chance at least some of the supposedly American anti-Trump sites are also from content farms in other countries. Much of the AI slop on Facebook is reportedly from similar sources.
