Curious timing to updates to this report from the Congressional Research Service...

F47 fired multiple inspectors general late on 01/24/2025, removing the independent watchdogs tasked w/ investigating abuse + impropriety in federal agencies in a move that potentially violates federal law.

The CSR report that was in effect at the time of the firing is viewable here (05/22/2024):

The CSR report available online currently was updated 01/27/2025...

The section under "Removal Procedure" in the 05/22/2024 report has been recently altered. Here is a copy of the 05/22/2024 section:

The modified 01/27/2025 "Removal Procedure:

The phrase, "of the U.S. Code" in the first paragraph of the 05/22/2024 version is removed in the 01/27/2025 revision. The section in the 05/22/2024 document that addresses "agencies headed by boards, committees, or commissions" + the "IG of the U.S. Postal Service" has been completely deleted. In the last paragraph, "an appointment" is replaced by "a change".

This is just a sample... Are all Congressional Research Services reports being "updated" to conform to the machinations of F47 + his minions??? Are members of Congress aware that these documents are being converted into propaganda tools??? And why was this particular report updated at this time?
