Suggested message from the masses to those in power
To all congress persons and senators, especially Republicans...
"If you are not willing to stand up for democracy, both in this country and more broadly, then you need to resign immediately."
It would be a unified, straightforward, and simple message. At the very least it will send them a message about their chances of being re-elected. There is a slim chance it could make a difference. They could bail out rather than directly defy the mobsters.
This is not a substitute for more tangible actions that one might think of.
