I know quite a few people who had been Democrats, who feel like they don't have a party since Democrats started denying they know the difference between women and men. You can't have women's rights when you can't define women biologically. Women's rights were created on the basic of biology - because our rights were/are lost on the basis of biology. The 3rd wave lost the plot by accepting porn & prostitution as legitimate and empowering for women. The non-voters include a lot of people who saw that Republicans were full of shit, but that Democrats were also disconnected from reality. Democrats are either going to figure that out - or not. We/they can hope that enough people see that Trump is bad enough that Republicans lose votes, but regardless - we/they can & should become inclusive of those who care about women's rights. The majority of people do not want men playing women's sports - for example. A lot of Democrats can't even talk about it - don't think the subject can be discussed. That is a losing proposition. One that I think is founded on propaganda and intimidation. (Not 'kindness').

It doesn’t matter what we do the right wing is going to pull out these ridiculous talking points and harp on them until people start listening. Why are they so afraid of tampons in boards boys rooms they just think it’s icky that’s all. The Democratic Party is about protecting civil rights and human rights. And if that means protecting trans people, we’ll do it.
