My 4 no-mask people at the polls yesterday.

I was manning a desk at the entrance to the polls yesterday to make sure that people coming in to vote were wearing masks. We had all of 4 people who refused to wear a mask. One elderly lady said that she couldn't wear one so we took care of her outside with an absentee ballot. One older gentleman who protested and got very crusty but finally agreed to wear one just to vote. The 3rd guy refused the mask we offered him and asked if he could go back to his car to get his own. "Of course you can", we said. He came back in wearing a big black respirator that looked like something out of a third rate sci-fi film. There was dead silence when he walked into the voting area and then a bunch of muted giggles.

The fourth guy refused to wear a mask and told me that a mask did nothing and anyway, Covid-19 was a hoax. He refused the absentee ballot. He pointed to the polling area and growled "I have a constitutional right to go in there". I said (politely) "You have a constitutional right to vote but you do not have a constitutional right to make people sick. Here is your ballot, go outside and fill it out and bring it back to me." After all his huffing and puffing and growling, he did what he was told.

Lyndon Johnson and the Pig Story

I think the Goldberg/Atlantic story is true but if it isn't, there's this:

The problem with Trump is that he has not been able to stay sane long enough for his puppet

masters to gain control of this country. They made the mistake of picking an undisciplined imbecile who fried his brain over the years with a combination of drugs, women and money. His puppet masters may have thought that this is the man they wanted but I think the sane Americans who still make up the majority in this country will prove them wrong. When this is over and we kick Trump's fat, lazy ass to the curb, we need for our new House and Senate,,,and there will be a new House and Senate...to make sure that not one of his facilitators can serve in any governmental elected or appointed position ever again. This may sound harsh but we need some harsh actions to prevent this from ever happening again. No compromise, no forgiveness, no quarter given. Do you agree?

Heard it on my way home in the car this morning and had to put the windshield wipers on.

So, your President tweets a ban on buying Goodyear tires, an American company founded

in Ohio over 100 years ago that employs thousands of your people. Your President did this because he was pissed that they wouldn't let employees wear his political hats to work.

Has it dawned on you yet that your President puts himself above lives, jobs and your wellbeing? Has it dawned on you yet that your President doesn't have the sense he was born with?

Has it dawned on you yet that you don't know from one day to the next what your President is going to do or what your life will be like next week or next month because he is unstable and has made your country unstable?

Are you sure that your President won't turn on you like he's turned on countless other people because you don't serve his purpose or stroke his ego?

If you had a choice between feeding your kids or supporting this human wrecking ball, you'd choose him?

Before you make that choice, don't listen to me...talk to some of the guys who have had a steady job at Goodyear, or somebody who is trying to put their life or their body back together after a bout with Covid-19, or a Vet who can't get his meds.

In short, get your head out of your ass and use it for a change.

I feel a little cry coming on and there's a lump in my throat. This has been such

a shitty six months and a very horrid 3 1/2 years. I see a light at the end of the tunnel, finally!

How do people feel about Val Demmings? She could turn Florida in our favor.

No question in my mind: any presidential candidate from now on must undergo a battery of psyc. tests

before they can be put on the ballot. They can figure out how to establish an impartial panel to administer these test but this must be done. Right now we are being held hostage by a complete nutcase. It is only by the grace of some almighty being that we are not at war and by saying that I may have spoken too soon.

Memo to Doland Trump: Stop. Turn around. Go back and start again. This time, let the experts

handle the virus and tell Melania to start packing the china.
