Is there some sort of institute where they memorize talking points, deflection, and where to draw the line between lies of omission or lies of obfuscation, and flat-out falsehoods?
Does the Heritage Foundation run seminars or something? Their churches?
Or is it just innate to the mindset?
Is there a doctor in the house? The "Sharp Inhaling"?
I think we can dispense with the "bad mic" claims from the 1st debate. Dump's "sharp inhaling" (it's not sniffing) was even more pronounced this time.
I tried to imitate it to understand, but I cannot inhale like that. So sharp, so violent. Maybe I don't weigh enough?
If there's a doctor on DU, maybe even an ENT, I'd love to hear your anonymous speculation as to how/why one inhales like that.
9 weeks and 4 days and this election will be over. It's really not that long now.
If that's not enough to cheer you up, remember that Trump is mortal, and someday, probably soon by the looks of him, he will die. You may well be alive to witness that day.
Remember the day you woke up to the news that Scalia had died in his sleep? It will feel at least that good.

Restaurant opening sparks Orlando mall shooting scare

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Two months after a gunman killed dozens inside an Orlando nightclub, the sound of popping balloons prompted shoppers to frantically flee an Orlando mall, injuring nine.
Orange County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Deputy Rose Silva tells news outlets there was no gunman at the Florida Mall. The loud sounds were actually from six large balloons being popped as part of an industry-standard inspection for the grand opening of former ‘NSync singer Joey Fatone’s new restaurant.
“She told us ‘shooting, shooting, shooting,’ and we see a massive crowd running. You put two and two together, you don’t stick around to find out what’s going on.You just run,” Comer told the station. “I saw their faces, and they looked as if they just had saw something terrible, so I keep watching and just more people, just a flood.”

Ivanov charged with aggravated murder of 3 teens in Mukilteo

EVERETT — Snohomish County prosecutors on Tuesday charged a University of Washington student with three counts of aggravated murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder for Saturday’s shootings at Mukilteo house party.
Allen Christopher Ivanov and Bui used to date. Ivanov, 19, allegedly told police that he hunted Bui down at the party because he was jealous and angry that she was dating other guys. He said he’d broken up with Bui about two months ago.
The suspect also described how in recent days he’d purchased a Ruger semiautomatic rifle and an extra magazine. The assault-style weapon is similar in appearance to an AR-15. Ivanov told the detective that he’d purchased the rifle about a week before and planned to use it for target shooting and in a gun safety class.
Ivanov allegedly told the detective how he’d driven to the party and spotted Bui with another guy. He returned to his car, read the instruction manual for the rifle, loaded the weapon and crept near the living room windows, according to the report, which was filed in Everett District Court.

A perfect storm of testosterone-fueled, wounded male pride, murderous impulse, and near-instant access to semi-automatic weaponry. Now he's going to spend the rest of his life - 60-odd years - in prison, at taxpayer expense, and for what? A minute of revenge against a woman who refused to be his possession.
He was a law-abiding gun owner for a week. What a waste. What a horror for all the parents and friends. What a perfectly pointless American tragedy.
2-year-old in critical condition; apparently shot self, police say

A 2-year-old boy was in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center Monday after apparently shooting himself with a handgun in a Georgetown motel, police said.
Authorities say they are pursuing felony weapons charges against the mother’s boyfriend, who detectives say is a felon and not allowed to possess a gun. No further details about the couple were available.

Charges are being brought against the responsible adult. Hopefully its not just Felony Possession.
3 dead, 1 hurt in Thurston County shooting

THURSTON COUNTY, Wash. —
Thurston County deputies are at the scene of a quadruple shooting near the east end of Lacey.
A woman and two men are dead. Another man, who called police, was injured.
Thurston County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Dave Pearsall said a man called 911 at 5:15 a.m. Wednesday saying his friends were dead, he was shot and he wasn't sure where he was.

It never stops - mass killings 1/week on average. This one doesn't quite meet the FBI's standard of 4 dead for a Mass Killing. Cold comfort.
