There. Is. NO. IMMUNITY. - WHO statement

WHO says no evidence shows that having coronavirus prevents a second infection

https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/25/us/who-immunity-antibodies-covid-19/index.html

The World Health Organization is warning that people who have had Covid-19 are not necessarily immune by the presence of antibodies from getting the virus again.

"There is no evidence yet that people who have had Covid-19 will not get a second infection," WHO said in a scientific brief published Friday.

It cautions against governments that are considering issuing so-called "immunity passports" to people who have had Covid-19, assuming they are safe to resume normal life.
"At this point in the pandemic, there is not enough evidence about the effectiveness of antibody-mediated immunity to guarantee the accuracy of an 'immunity passport' or 'risk-free certificate,' " WHO said.

(Good read) Home Alone at the White House: A Sour President, With TV His Constant Companion

I’m grabbing paragraphs from different parts for those without a subscription

WASHINGTON — President Trump arrives in the Oval Office these days as late as noon, when he is usually in a sour mood after his morning marathon of television.
(Later in this piece the authors state that at lunch he pours over newspaper stories like official briefing books)

The Daily Briefings

His first news conference in the briefing room took place the next day, on a Saturday, after Mr. Trump arrived unannounced in the Situation Room, wearing a polo shirt and baseball cap, and told the group he planned to attend the briefing and watch from a chair on the side. When aides told him that reporters would simply yell questions at him, even if he was not on the small stage, he agreed to take the podium. He has not looked back since.

The New Pecking Order

Ms. Hicks and Mr. McEntee, along with Dan Scavino, the president’s social media guru who was promoted this week to deputy chief of staff for communications, provide Mr. Trump with a link to the better old days. The three are the ones outside advisers get in touch with to find out if it’s a good time to reach the president or pass on a message.

Mark Meadows, Mr. Trump’s new chief of staff, is still finding his footing and adjusting to the nocturnal habits of Mr. Trump, who recently placed a call to Mr. Meadows, a senior administration official said, at 3:19 a.m. Mr. Meadows works closely with another trusted insider: Jared Kushner, Mr. Trump’s son-in-law and de facto chief of staff.

The Day Ends as It Began

By the end of the day, Mr. Trump turns back to his constant companion, television. Upstairs in the White House private quarters — often in his own bedroom or in a nearby den — he flicks from channel to channel, reviewing his performance.

Even the Insane Clown Posse (ICP) is staying at home - one Juggalo lost is too many

EVEN THE INSANE CLOWN POSSE ISN'T INSANE ENOUGH TO GATHER THIS YEAR

It's a sad day for Juggalos and Juggalettes as the Insane Clown Posse has announced that it will be canceling its annual music festival, The Gathering of the Juggalos, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

This is the first time in its 20-year history that ICP has canceled the event, which features performances from Psychopathic Records (ICP's label) artists, wrestling, comedy and wet T-shirt contests. If you weren't already taking COVID-19 seriously, this is a good sign that maybe you should. If you're not in the know about the Gathering, it's not exactly an event that's praised for the healthy behavior of its attendees. The 2020 edition of the festival was set for Garrettsville, Ohio, from August 5 to August 8.

The group said the decision was made with the owners of Nelson Lodges Quarry Park, where the Gathering was set to take place. ICP said they didn't want to risk any Juggalo lives, but the festival would return in 2021!

Chris Hale doesn't seem like he'd be much fun at a party

Chris Hale, a disabled Army veteran said he is a resident of Tennessee who currently lives in Peterstown, W.Va., and drove to Richmond to join the protest.

“The government is allowing the alcohol and the ABC places to stay up but shutting down the churches, so that’s an infringement on the First Amendment,” he said.

“We’re calling this the American spirit parade because the American spirit is based on freedom, and we’re asking the governor to open churches and businesses to allow adults to take personal responsibility for their health and well being,” said Diana Shores, executive director of the Virginia First Foundation, as she helped to coordinate protesters staging at Willow Lawn Shopping Center.

Trump's never heard of Dr. Bright.

Jonathan Karl asked him.

Trump said he didn’t know about it and hadn’t heard about it.

When did that happen?
Today
I’ll have to hear the other side of the story
