July 15, 2015. Trump claimed he is worth TEN BILLION DOLLARS. Yes in all caps

TRUMP: My 'massive' net worth is 'in excess of TEN BILLION DOLLARS'

Jul 15, 2015, 3:19 PM ET

In fact, he claims his personal fortune is so "massive" that it cannot be detailed on the Federal Election Commission financial-disclosure forms required for White House hopefuls.

Trump's campaign released a statement on Wednesday indicating that he has filed his disclosure forms and that he has a "net worth" that "is in excess of TEN BILLION DOLLARS."

"This report was not designed for a man of Mr. Trump's massive wealth," the statement said of the FEC forms. "For instance, they have boxes once a certain number is reached that simply state $50 million or more. Many of these boxes have been checked. As an example, if a building owned by Mr. Trump is worth $1.5 billion, the box checked is '$50,000,000 or more.'"

2% of Americans (claim to) have never eaten a taco

Survey: 2% of Americans have never eaten a taco

My fellow Americans, a silent tragedy plays out every day in this country. Across our fair land, 6.5 million of our brothers and sisters suffer every day in the shadows. But now that their plight has come to our attention, we can no longer ignore this chilling reality: 2% of Americans have never eaten a taco. What can each of us to do to reduce this disturbing statistic? Ask not what your country can do for you, ask your friends to make sure they’ve eaten a taco before. I propose a nationwide program of Taco Wellness Checks.

The harrowing statistic comes courtesy of food brand Ortega, which commissioned a Suzy poll of more than 8,600 Americans, asking them about taco preferences. We’ll get to results about toppings and tortilla styles in a bit, but the most shocking number is the 2% of people who claim to have never eaten a taco.

Cora (Boston Red Sox Manager) to skip Red Sox's trip to White House

Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora announced Sunday that he will not accompany his team to celebrate its World Series title at the White House on Thursday.

In a statement in Spanish sent to El Nuevo Dia, Cora cited the fact that Puerto Rico still has not recovered from Hurricane Maria in 2017 for his decision.

Cora confirmed to reporters in Chicago after the Red Sox's 9-2 victory over the White Sox that he will not be accompanying his team to the White House.

"Like the report said, the government has done some things back home that are great, but we still have a long ways to go. That's our reality. It's pretty tough to go celebrate when we're where we are at. I'd rather not go and just be consistent with everything," he said.

*sigh* Virginia man - Ford vs. Chevy argument - stabbings and gunshots

Ford vs. Chevy dispute leaves 3 people shot at Virginia home, prosecutors say

BEDFORD, Va. – A dispute that started with the age-old argument about the superiority of Ford versus Chevy trucks ended in gunfire, leaving multiple people shot at a Virginia home, prosecutors say.

He has been charged with felony malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felon and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Turner had apparently gathered with his girlfriend, her son and her son’s girlfriend for a family dinner. Bedford County Commonwealth Attorney Wes Nance told WSET that alcohol was involved and that there was “a dispute” between Turner and his girlfriend’s son, Logan Bailey, about which truck was better, Ford or Chevy.

The argument turned violent when Turner pulled out a knife, Nance said. Bailey’s mother tried to intervene and was stabbed once in the back.

Turner then went into the house and returned with a handgun, authorities say.
