Harvard Pulls Pro-Gun Parkland Survivor Kyle Kashuv's Admission Over Racial Slurs

Harvard University has revoked the admission of conservative pundit and Parkland shooting survivor Kyle Kashuv over racial slurs he made in messages that surfaced online last month.

Kashuv said on Monday that he doesn’t know where he will go to college now, adding that he turned down “huge scholarships” at other schools in favor of the Ivy League titan.

The messages that cost him his Harvard admission came to light in May when a fellow Parkland student tweeted images of the racist messages Kashuv wrote while still a high-school student. In a shared Google Doc with classmates, Kashuv repeatedly wrote the word “n---er,” adding “im really good at typing n---er ok.” In another message, Kashuv called black student athletes “n---erjocks.”

The loss of his Harvard admission represents a new low for Kashuv, whose pro-gun stance had once earned him a White House meeting with President Trump, a string of Fox News appearances, and speaking roles at conservative conferences.

Well we got some good news today

Suddenly first time home buyers. We’ve rented at a ridiculously low rate for years. In May were were informed by the management company that the owner wanted to sell the house, in 60 days.

A frantic home search ensued and we picked a house. BTW - my military service really paid off here in many ways. The last step was the appraisal....

We got it today. $12K more than the sell price. Instant equity.

When does a joke become a Dad joke? 😆😁

When does a joke become a dad joke? When it becomes apparent!

...Couldn't resist. Happy Father's Day to all the jokesters out there just trying to make their kids laugh. I've had a lot of jobs over the years, but being a dad to Nat, Woody, and Annella will always be my favorite.

X-post from GD - the Donald J. Trump State Park is a failure & tax dodge

As with most Bloomberg reports very well researched and all aspects covered.

A Failed Trump Golf Course Turned Into a Dilapidated New York State Park

Trump boasted undeveloped land worth five times assessed value
New York stopped maintaining marshy, overgrown forest in 2010

When Donald Trump bought 436 acres in upstate New York two decades ago, he envisioned adding two new championship golf courses to his collection.

But local leaders nixed the golf-course plans and his subsequent efforts to sell it to a homebuilding company faltered. So he gave it away.

"This is my way of trying to give back," he said at the time.

Like most deals involving Trump, there was more to it than goodwill. He was unloading what experts say was useless land, but not before working local officials to see if they could reappraise it at more than five times the assessed value, according to documents seen by Bloomberg and interviews with people involved -- and using a grossly inflated figure on later presidential campaign documents to show, falsely, the depth of his philanthropy.

Despite the purchase price of $2.75 million, and a county assessment of $5.5 million at the time of the donation, Trump’s 2016 campaign said in a list of charitable donations published by The Washington Post that the land was worth $26.1 million.

Weird/odd food things you do

I’ve very recently found that pepper on mayonnaise is really really tasty but then I put pepper on everything.

Salt on lettuce completely changes it’s taste. That’s the only time I’d add salt to anything.

Oh and a Hershey bar section on a saltine cracker is delicious!
