RICHMOND, Va. -- A powerful new display at the Virginia War Memorial in Richmond honors the nearly 12,000 Virginians who made the ultimate sacrifice since World War II.

The inaugural “Hill of Heroes" display, which was installed Saturday morning, features 12,000 American flags on the hillside next to the Shrine of Memory.
Kate Belleman, Virginia War Memorial’s Sales and Events Manager, said between 60 to 80 volunteers, including Boy Scouts, installed the flags to represent the Virginians killed in World War II, Korea, Vietnam and the Persian Gulf conflicts.

We had no idea.
Oh there are a few people who still work for Circuit City. We heard about this asking about people we went to college with and someone told us, "He still works at Circuit City". Something like 5-10 people.

Super chirper highly engaging fundraiser raiser was outside of the grocery yesterday. She was really good. She waved and established contact with everyone walking in. As I left, walking right by the display she had, she was like “Hey! There you are! Did you have fun in there?”
Me “Yes and I’m taking these steaks to their forever home”. She laughed.
Even though we lost our last cat in December I decided to donate $10 a month. As we were filling out the registration on her tablet she asked, “Do you have a title? Mister, Doctor, Captain or anything else?”
Me “Oooh I can be a Captain?” 😁
Yes they actually had Captain as an option.
