Chris Hale doesn't seem like he'd be much fun at a party

Chris Hale, a disabled Army veteran said he is a resident of Tennessee who currently lives in Peterstown, W.Va., and drove to Richmond to join the protest.

“The government is allowing the alcohol and the ABC places to stay up but shutting down the churches, so that’s an infringement on the First Amendment,” he said.

“We’re calling this the American spirit parade because the American spirit is based on freedom, and we’re asking the governor to open churches and businesses to allow adults to take personal responsibility for their health and well being,” said Diana Shores, executive director of the Virginia First Foundation, as she helped to coordinate protesters staging at Willow Lawn Shopping Center.

Trump's never heard of Dr. Bright.

Jonathan Karl asked him.

Trump said he didn’t know about it and hadn’t heard about it.

When did that happen?
Today
I’ll have to hear the other side of the story

Secret Recording Reveals NRA's Legal Troubles Have Cost The Organization $100 Million

2:46 audio report at link including LaPierre himself

https://www.npr.org/2020/04/21/839999178/secret-recording-reveals-nras-legal-troubles-have-cost-the-organization-100-mill

The National Rifle Association's legal troubles have cost the powerful gun rights group $100 million, according to a recording of the group's board meeting obtained by NPR.

In the January 2020 recording, NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre criticizes ongoing investigations by the New York and Washington, D.C., attorneys general, bemoaning "the power of weaponized government." And he told the NRA's board of directors, assembled for the group's winter meeting in January, that the organization has had to make $80 million in cuts to stay afloat.

"What we did in order to survive and adjust is we took in 2019 and 2020 ... about $80 million in real costs out of the NRA budget," LaPierre said. "I mean, we kinda reframed this entire association. We took it down to the studs."

"I've never seen anything like that in the United States of America, to tell you the truth. I mean, that is Cuba, that is communist China, that is Venezuela, it's Russia, it's every other country we look at and we say, 'Thank God we don't live there,' " LaPierre said

GRONK IS BACK (NFL) ......in Tampa

https://www.bostonherald.com/2020/04/21/rob-gronkowski-forcing-bill-belichicks-hand-on-return-to-nfl/

Rob Gronkowski couldn’t stay retired.

Not with Tom Brady still playing. And especially not with Brady playing for a team not named the Patriots.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the all-world tight end has imagined this scenario of reuniting with Brady for quite awhile. This wasn’t a spur of the moment decision to request a trade. If Brady ever left, Gronkowski was going to join him wherever he landed.

Gronkowski basically had Belichick over a barrel. If Belichick traded him someplace else, Gronkowski made it known he would stay retired. Returning to the Patriots wasn’t an option.

The fun-loving Gronk had his fill of The Hoodie. He wanted a change.

Can the coronavirus be spread through farts? - the New York Post

Ladies and gentlemen, the New York Post

April 20, 2020 | 3:49pm

Two Australian doctors are weighing in about the spread of the coronavirus “down under” — whether it can be spread through farts, that is.

During Friday’s episode of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s “Coronacast” podcast, producer and host Dr. Norman Swan made a cautionary suggestion when it comes to particles of feces set adrift within a fart and the spread of COVID-19.

“No bare-bottom farting,” Swan advised about posterior pandemic panic, in a measured, mildly amused tone.

Meanwhile, Australian emergency physician Dr. Andy Tagg also floated the question via Twitter, asking, “So, can the bottom-based emissions of someone with coronavirus be silent and deadly?”

😁 Coming May 16th

http://www.physics-astronomy.com/2020/04/set-your-alarm-jupiter-venus-and-moon.html

‘Smiley face’ – when you hear that, most likely you would think of an emoticon, not planets aligning to form one!
The moon, Jupiter and Venus are going to be showing off for us on the 16th of May 2020, by aligning in a rare position that will form a smiley face in the sky!
This rare spectacle is called conjunction and is not to be missed, as the last time this happened was 12 years ago in 2008, so not a regular occurrence. In 2007 this also happened in the Philippines when the sky lit up at night.
