I found five or so more brand new accounts -- less than 100 posts -- that had to be put on 'ignore'.

The Russians did not steal the election, did not hack the election. They certainly tried to.

if you're truly losing sleep about your vote not counting, your concerns need to be placed with electronic voting machines. GUESS WHAT WOULD STOP HACKING!? PAPER BALLOTS!!!1!

My take. as a former newspaper executive for Hearst, is that the company may be the strongest contenders for this paper as they already own the Houston, San Antonio, Beaumont, Midland, Laredo, and Plainview dailies and a ton of weeklies in nearly every one of those markets.

They -- or anybody else who buys it -- will pay full price, as there is no hotter market in the US. Austin was recently ranked at the top of the list in the chase for Amazon's HQ2.

Republican Senators voted against disaster relief

Senators voted 82-17 on the House-passed measure, which includes help for the response to a string of wildfires and trio of hurricanes.

Each of the 17 "no" votes came from Republicans, including Sens. Bob Corker (Tenn.), Jeff Flake (Ariz.) and Mike Lee (Utah), among others.
