Don't mind if I do...

Who else here is glad that that MrScorpio guy isn't posting as much as he used to?

Let me tell you, he posted entirely on DU too much. Music videos that no one listened to, too many gifs and pics of cats, plus all of that other silly stuff that no one understands.

What's wrong with that guy? He thinks he's God's gift to the internet, doesn't he? And he's not even as funny as he thinks he is either. Like he's supposed to be some BMOC, connected to everyone on the planet. I think he cheats on that Six Degrees game of his to win, don't you? I hope that I never see another one, I usually trash them whenever they pop up.

Not to mention the fact that if he ever wrote another one of his long, boring essays again it would be much too soon for me. They're always too rude and condescending too and not as clever as he thinks they are either. I've seen better writing from high schoolers.

I hear that he's spending most of his time with his new nazi friends over on the Discussionist. I'm glad that I don't post over there, because I also hear that he's posting entirely too much over there too. He bugs me to no end, you know. If he's as much of a liberal as he says he his, I don't know how he can stand being around all of those horrible trolls.

This place feels a million times better without that guy sticking his snarky nose into everything all of the time.

Got that off my chest. You feel the same way, right?

Just wait until these rocket scientists find about Wayne State University as well...

JOHN WAYNE HEIRS SUE UNIVERSITY OVER THE NAME DUKE
BY MICHAEL BIESECKER
ASSOCIATED PRESS

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) -- John Wayne's heirs are taking Duke University to court over the family's right to market bottles of bourbon branded with the late movie star's nickname, Duke.

A federal lawsuit filed last week is the latest salvo in a long-running legal duel between the North Carolina university and California-based John Wayne Enterprises over commercial products featuring the name. The late actor used the moniker since childhood, when he adopted the name of the family dog.

Lawyers for the university say allowing the Wayne estate to use the name could cause confusion and "diminish, dilute and tarnish" the value of the name, for which both parties hold trademarks.

A message seeking comment from the John Wayne Enterprises was not immediately returned.

If you go Nazi, don't settle for anything less than FULL Nazi...

Walmart Thinks This Horrifying Poster Would Look Great in Your Home or Office

The news: Walmart has apologized to its customers after it realized that it was accidentally selling a poster depicting the Nazi concentration camp of Dachau on its website. Complete with a sign prominently displaying the infamous "Arbeit Macht Frei" slogan, the piece was billed as "a great addition to your home or office."

Eeeesh. Unless you work at the Holocaust Museum or your favorite movie is Apt Pupil, it's hard to see why anyone would want this creepy and distasteful poster.

The problem: The "Arbeit Macht Frei" slogan translates to "work makes you free" and was located on the front gate of Dachau, a Bavarian Nazi concentration camp that held Jews, political prisoners, foreigners and run-of-the-mill criminals. Over 200,000 people were imprisoned at Dachau and up to 41,500 of them died. The phrase also appeared at other Nazi work and extermination camps, including Auschwitz I and Gross-Rosen.

According to Digiday, Amazon and Sears also listed and then pulled down the item, suggesting it came from a common distributor. Sears' mistake may have been even worse than Walmart's: writer Jennifer Mendelsohn tweeted that the Sears listing that came with suggestions for “similar items” included double wall ovens.
