About Me

Retired nurse professionally, but not personally. Relocated to north Georgia from Tx a few years ago.

If Herschel Walker ends up in the Senate,

my guess is that he'll be investigated for outrageous ethics charges before he's halfway through his term.

Or maybe he'll try to play Russian Roulette while in the chamber.

Or maybe a dozen interns will be suing him for child support. (Ugh)

I'm wishing all your prayers are

answered as you break your fast, and that peace envelops you like a soft warm blanket until the shofar sounds. ✡️

I need & can't find paragraph about "We are all Stardust". I think Carl Sagan

authored it. I think it's more like for a eulogy.

Anyone ever go crazy in front of the hospice people?

I did recently. The day before I had my first ever bad blood work revealed, and I woke up with about 50% hearing loss in one ear from the stress of becoming unhealthy, taking care of my dementia-crazed MIL, and managing my adult son's autism. My MIL was losing theability to feed herself, and I suddenly declared "I can't do it." I was just an emotional tirade from caregiver fatigue.

I swear, they started treating me like a criminal like they were one bad word away from calling APS. Then the nurse told me she wouldn't be available for awhile because she was going on a nice weekend trip to the beach. (They know I rarely am able to leave the house.) Just rub it in.

"The Undeclared War" is a fictional series on Peacock. The story

presents a scary manipulation of UK citizens through cyber terrorism by Russia's FSB. Their objective is to get people fighting the government, each other, and also using social media for setting up violent confrontations. Elections are targeted as well.

The story begins following a young, brilliant, female Muslim computer scientist working at cybersecurity in UK's intelligence division.

Wonderful actors, including Mark Rylance, are featured.

What's worse than a politician selling national top secrets?

A rich (supposedly) politician selling national top secrets.

Too bad his working class cultists can't see that.

Could it have something to do with Matt Gaetz, etc? nt

Coincidentally, I watched "Eye in the Sky" this weekend.

Eye In the Sky

A lieutenant general (Alan Rickman) and a colonel (Helen Mirren) face political opposition after ordering a drone missile strike to take out a group of suicide bombers in Nairobi, Kenya.
Release date: April 1, 2016 (USA)
Director: Gavin Hood
Starring: Helen Mirren; Aaron Paul; Alan Rickman; Barkhad Abdia, Jeremy Northam; Iain Glen

It was a well done movie, reflecting the steps involved in ordering a drone strike, requiring international cooperation, changes in the mission, and especially, evaluating collateral damage. The techy spy stuff was fun, too.

In the video of Gerald L.K. Smith, a founder of Christian Nationalism,

he moves his arms around like Adolf Hitler.

He ranted against "mongrelization" of the races, Jews taking over the world, etc. Racist and anti-semite. Rachel Maddow is giving us the history lesson tonight.

Wish they wouldn't.

There are plenty of channels or alt channels to watch political events. Cutting in on people's viewing just pisses them off, and they blame the political figures, not the media.
