I can't take the vaccine because of a medical condition, I have other friends that are in the same boat. I'm alarmed at the level of virtue shaming for people that choose not to take the vaccine for various reasons. I sincerely hope that many of the shamers on DU reconsider their position understanding there is a myriad of reasons why people make this choice. The truth is, not taking the vaccine does not hurt other people around them it only puts the non vaxxer at greater risk, supposedly. Please read the fine print on the vaccines before you continue virtue shaming people for their decisions. You might learn something and having an 'aha' experience about your own biases.
I've been a member of DU since the beginning days, I rarely post, I felt compelled to do this now. I know I will be slammed and trolled for this but please rethink your bias on shaming non vaxxers.

I loved Bartcop! His site led me to DU. A number of years back a friend and I attended a Bartcop meeting in Washington at James Carville's restaurant. Folks came from all over the US to attend... God bless him. It was a wonderful time with Kindred Spirits. And yes he would have reveled and thrived in these times to help carry us through with his unrivaled wit. Here's to Bartcop and everything he did for the cause!

I've been a member here for over 18 years. I don't post much but I read a lot. And I along with a lot of my dem friends live in the red state of South Carolina and we're all sick of the attacks on Avenetti. Read his position paper. Have an open mind. What Democrats have been doing for years has not been working. I see him as a breath of fresh air and a ray of Hope.

If he has not tithed the requisite 10% GROSS income, he may be MORE afraid of his Mormon constituency (the bishops, council of 12….hell the prophet too!) than any other group of voters. 10% GROSS tithing is required for a “worthy Mormon”. He has boasted of his tithing generosity in the past. If his tax returns DON’T support the 10% GROSS INCOME rule – there is MUCH more hell to pay than showing a 13% tax rate which is already pretty disgusting compared to what we ‘middle income’ folks pay.
Would love the see some 'media' on this theory....could draw him out...
