TreasonousBastard's JournalWoke up toward the end of Fresh Air today and they were reviewing....
Schmigadoon, apparently on USA network. It seems like a pretty good sendup of Broadway musicals and some fun movies.
And it has two if my favorite women in the whole world-- Kristen Chenowith and Cecily Strong.
Judy Woodruff-- America at a Crossroads...
Get your Google ready and check out this PBS series that is what MSNBC should be and what CNN might have been.
Judy is one of thousands of unheralded journalists who see more than their bigmouthed guests do.
Also very bad, BTW, is NPR losing coverage thanks to market forces. Keep Googling for Media Matters coverage of how and why massive radio swings are aiming rightward, even after Joan Kroc blessed it with a few hundred million
Just a guess, but scritches may not be a good idea.
I've spent a couple of days watching the end of WWII in Europe...
especially the death camps.
I've known about them for years, of course, but each time I see a bit more, I am outraged and can't understand how people can do this. Even Eisenhower, as the war was dying down, was shocked at what he saw at Birkenau. Allied troops were outraged as they put down their weapons of war and helped the Red Cross. Some stormed SS redoubts and killed even Germans surrendering. Others married survivors of the camps
During all of this, as I see the stomach-turning torture and destruction, I wonder if the pseudo-Nazis these days have any idea what they are talking about...
And then there's Putin.
Lucy started in noir? "The Dark Corner" starring Lucille Ball as...
secretary to tough private eye. 1946
Probably asked already, but just when did we start believing...
anything Slobfather says?
I first heard about the "arrest" the other day and assumed it was just another questionable leak. Then I hear fat slob said it himself on his own medium.
So isn't the first thing we do is snicker, not treat it as truth?
Today's Fresh Air had as guest Bella DuBall, drag queen and owner...
host of largest drag show in Memphis.
Bella had some serious thoughts on the new law, but if the show was shut down, would go back to hisr old job as a teacher.
Wotta way to keep away from kids, eh?
