A Big Thank You, America! From The Super Rich

DCReport Editor in Chief

Congress is about to take up Donald Trump’s desire for people like himself to get income-tax-rate cuts. So, what’s the long-term trend in tax-rate cuts? And how has the vast majority fared compared with the richest?

Take a seat. The numbers may knock the breath out of you when you read what 52 years have done to the incomes and tax burdens of the vast majority and those at the apex of the economy.

Arkansas (probably most of the South) illogical logic.

I was reading the letters in our state newspaper, the Arkansas Democratic Gazette, and find it amazing. Those who claim 'taking a knee' is disrespecting the flag and our military vets are the same people who decry removal of statutes and monuments of those who physically attacked the flag and killed US Army soldiers.

Since the Graham-Cassidy bill would kill many more people than

either massive hurricanes or a foreign terrorist attack, why aren't we seeing the MSM spending 99.9% of their time warning the American people? Why aren't newspapers covering this on the front page? Where are the visuals on all TV channels showing the additional costs that will go to those with preexisting conditions?

Read this reply from the Dishonorable Senator Tom Cotton about DACA.

Dear Sinkingfeeling,

Thank you for sharing your concerns with me about Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. It's good to hear from you, as always.

I strongly oppose former President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy, which defers immigration action against illegal immigrants who claim to have entered the country as minors. I urge the Trump administration to work with legislators to end the failed policies encouraging young individuals to enter the United States illegally. We must reform our current system to secure our border and end this unsustainable course.

I therefore don’t support Senator Lindsey Graham’s (R-SC) Bar Removal of Individuals Who Dream and Grow our Economy Act (BRIDGE) Act of 2017, though I do share Senator Graham’s concerns about fixing the immigration system. I am committed to an immigration policy that will protect our borders, stop illegal immigration, and maintain a strong legal immigration process that serves U.S. interests. However, our federal government is failing at a core constitutional duty: securing our borders and enforcing immigration laws. I will work during my time in the Senate to fix these failures. Should any relevant legislation come before the Senate regarding visas, permits, or an entry-exit system, you can be assured that I will keep your concerns in mind.

You can help me as I aim to represent Arkansans—please continue to keep me informed of your opinion. A well-functioning representative democracy relies on active, engaged citizens like you to inform and hold their elected leaders accountable. I always find input from my constituents on matters of public policy to be both insightful and useful as I work to represent your interests.

I am truly honored to serve as your Senator—please know that your interests and affairs have my unceasing attention. Always feel free to call my office at (202) 224-2353 or visit www.cotton.senate.gov.

Sincerely,

Tom Cotton
United States Senator
