49jim's JournalOn the way home this morning
from my daily Duncan Donuts run......huge pick-up truck in from of me with license plates: DJ TRUMP. Not surprised but you really have to be in the cult to do this...what a way to ruin a really nice looking vehicle.
Well that didn't take very long....
I turned on Hannity at 9:02pm and he was talking about the Murdock verdict. Next sentence , "He was a very big democrat donor." I turned it off at 9:03pm.
A caller on Tom Hartmanns just speculated
that they found the receipts for all of Trumps abortions in the safe.....any other ideas?
This is Florida..
I'm watching the NY Mets v Florida Marlins spring training game. Husband and wife about four rows up....just over the left shoulder of the batter....holding up a picture of Trump all through the game.....turning to each other laughing....big smirk on their faces....
The Mets have a player named Brandon Nimo....last week every time he was up there was a group yelling..."Let's go Brandon!"...I'm glad spring training is over this week and teams are heading north.....assholes ruin watching a baseball game.....
Observation: It's great to see
a president not sitting on the edge of the chair like he was on a toilet with foreign leaders.....
My wife is supervising student teachers
at our local NY state university.
She is doing it all virtually. I give here credit for using zoom.....google virtual classroom and the like. ( she just turned 71).
She has 8 students in her case load.
Today she was observing a 5th grade class on the three branches of government. (and their rolls) They were all involved and all at home on their devises.
My wife asked the cooperating teacher why she didn't mention the name of the president or governor to give the students some perspective of the real world. The teacher was afraid of parent backlash given the current political climate. Sad!
These students won't probably get exposed to this topic again until they take government classes in high school. Unfortunately, this is how the curriculum is designed not only in NYS, but across the country. It should to be taught every year..in small doses in classrooms....in some form....from this grade on through graduation!
