Fox News Guests Explode Into Screaming Match After Tucker Carlson Gets Called a Conspiracy Theorist:

This guy Chris Hahn rocks!!! (video at link below)

By Ken MeyerMar 30th, 2021, 1:00 pm

Former White House Director of Strategic Communications Mercedes Schlapp and Democratic strategist Chris Hahn had a major clash on Fox News after the latter called Tucker Carlson a conspiracy theorist.

The two joined Gillian Turner on Tuesday to discuss the idea of a system to keep track of which Americans have been vaccinated against the coronavirus. The Biden administration is currently exploring a possible system to accomplish this, and there are ongoing debates as state governments consider issuing “vaccine passports” or similar kinds of official documentation.

Schlapp used the discussion to attack the “illogical mentality of the left” for supporting vaccine passports while opposing Republican-led efforts to restrict voting rights. Hahn countered that the concept is being primarily driven by the private sector, not the Biden administration, but his primary retort was “Republicans, like everything else they’ve done during this horrible crisis we’ve been through, are pushing these conspiracy theories that the government is trying to control you, which is causing some of their followers not to get vaccinated.”

Hahn named Schlapp and Carlson among those guilty of pushing these types of conspiracy theories and endangering public health.

Former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer attempted to slam President Joe Biden’s press conference on Thursday, but only managed a major-league self-own.

Fleischer, who served under former President George W. Bush, had a problem with Biden bringing notes to the media, apparently thinking ensuring accurate information was a good thing.

After griping about it, Fleischer added this misspelled rhetorical question: “Is he really that week that he needs a study guide?” (sic)

Twitter users immediately pointed out the many flaws in Fleischer’s tweet.

Former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen appeared to imply on Saturday that bad news is headed for his former boss.

Quoting a legal expert on MSNBC, Cohen retweeted a story on Twitter that his many meetings with Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance were “not good news for #Trump.”

Mr Vance has been investigating the Trump Organization for possible financial crimes since 2018. Recently, Cohen has had seven meetings with the Manhattan DA, and has reportedly been invited to an eighth – a sign that Donald Trump may be indicted soon, analysts have suggested.

“The fact that he’s been there seven times and is rumoured to be going back for an eighth time is not good news for Trump,” said Joyce Vance, the legal expert Cohen quoted.

Democrats finding support for Biden in small-city America

MANKATO, Minnesota (AP) — Mary McGaw grew up in a Republican home on the rural prairie of south central Minnesota. But as she moved from her tiny town of Amboy to the nearest city of Mankato to study nursing, her politics migrated too.

McGaw was moved by the plight of underinsured and became concerned about the viability of safety programs. She cast her vote for Democrat Joe Biden in November, and nearly three months later, she is pleased with how hard the new president is fighting for his priorities.

“He's trying to get something done, even though there's pushback from all sides," said the 37-year-old registered nurse, who now works at a Mankato branch of the Mayo Clinic.

McGaw’s transformation is driving Democrats' hopes as they charge into what the party considers its new frontier: small-city America.

As Democrats continue to lose votes in small towns, they've seen clear gains in regional hubs that dot stretches of rural America. Biden carried roughly 60 counties President Donald Trump won in 2016, many were places anchored by a midsize or small city that is trending Democratic. They include places like Grand Rapids, Michigan; Wilmington, North Carolina; Dayton, Ohio and Mankato's Blue Earth County.
