Turnabout is Fair Play - Cuba and Ukraine

Turnabout is Fair Play - Cuba and Ukraine
Michael Collins

Russia's response to United States and European Union efforts in Ukraine represents a more restrained, lower stakes version of the response by the U.S. to the installation of nuclear missiles in Cuba by the Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) in 1962. Today, the headline above could be inverted to read:

Russia Blockades Ukraine, Tells US to 'Lay Off"

More than 50 years ago, U.S. President John F. Kennedy initiated a naval blockade of Cuba based on photographic evidence of medium range nuclear missile on the island just ninety miles from Florida. In his address to the nation of October 22, 1962, the president declared:

All ships of any kind bound for Cuba from whatever nation or port will, if found to contain cargoes of offensive weapons, be turned back.

Any nuclear missile launched from Cuba against any nation in the Western Hemisphere as an attack by the Soviet Union on the United States, requiring a full retaliatory response upon the Soviet Union." President John F. Kennedy, Oct 22, 1962

Kerry's Conundrum - Time for Truth on Ukraine

No amount of propaganda will hide the truth… John Kerry, April 24, 2014

Secretary of State Kerry may have a point about the truth. Despite the best efforts of the administration and corporate media, the lies about the attack on Libya have been exposed. The Arab Spring movement against Gaddafi was violent from the start and the "no fly" zone served as the flimsiest of pretenses for NATO's alliance with the Al Qaeda infested rebels. Kerry's absolute certainty in blaming the chemical weapons attack in Syria on government forces has been exposed as well. Investigative reporting by Seymour Hersh and scientific findings showed that Kerry's bombastic assurances were based on weak evidence. There was no certainty.

Now, the Obama-Kerry road show is opening up a new hyper drama designed to meet the objectives of their masters. Accuracy and truth are the first casualties. What follows is a brief examination Secretary of State John Kerry's Remarks at the State Department, Washington, DC, April 24, 2014 . Kerry was more contained than his histrionic performance on the Syrian chemical weapons incident. But, these remarks offer an insight into the administration's current position on the Ukrainian crisis stirred up by successive administrations and their Non Government Organization (NGO) collaborators.

Triumph of the Ill - Ukraine Coup Leaders Turn on People

Triumph of the Ill - Ukraine Coup Leaders Turn on People

By Michael Collins

Utter Hypocrisy

"WASHINGTON (AP) -- Secretary of State John Kerry has expressed strong concern that attacks by armed militants in eastern Ukraine have been orchestrated and synchronized, and are similar to previous attacks in eastern Ukraine and Crimea." Associated Press, Apr 12

As far as Secretary of State Kerry is concerned:

It's all right for anti Russian protesters to stage violent demonstrations and occupy buildings to protest the former Ukrainian government, but not all right for pro Russian Ukrainians to stage non violent demonstrations and occupy buildings to seek independence from the the current government.

It's all right for the United States to invade Iraq without any cause, but not all right for Russia to accept the Crimea's non violent protests and super majority vote to return to Russia.

It's all right for the United States to spend $5 billion to destabilize the government of the Ukraine in order to create an anti-Russian government, but not all right for Russia to resist.
