Mad_Machine76's JournalThis all so reminds me
of the Simpsons episode where Homer wins the position of sanitation commissioner over an obviously more qualified and experienced civil servant (played hilariously by Steve Martin) and Homer winds up turning the town (literally) into a trash heap, forcing the whole town to be re-located once garbage starts spewing out of every orifice of the land. I can't help but feeling like we're basically living through this now- all because Republicans- and too many more people-liked his schtick for one reason or another.
Trump is clearly unsettled by what Feinstein did releasing the Fusion GPS Transcripts
Not linking to Tweet but he now has a pet nickname for her- keeping in line with his "creative" nicknames for political opponents: "Sneaky Dianne Feinstein"
This is idiotic on so many levels
There is no way that NK would not retaliate, if not at us directly, then they will unleash their fury at SK and/or Japan. If we attack them first unprovoked, neither China, nor the international community will back us up. And it will increase Kim's hold on power because all of the propaganda his and his predecessor's regime has been feeding NK citizens for years will be vindicated. No......just....no.
Assuming that this in response to Oprah?
I feel pretty confident in stating that nearly any serious Democratic contender in 2020 would fit the bill of being a thousand light years more competent than Dump. I'm weary after not even a full year of Trump. If things continue their current trajectory, I can't imagine many (any?) people seriously would want a full 8 years of this. But I agree, no "vanity candidates", please. We get another crack at Trump in 2020. We need to make sure we are ready this time.
Even though
nobody could exactly articulate how President Obama was being a tyrant other than him signing an occasional Executive Order or make a Recess Appointment (which used to be an accepted practice/power of POTUS), primarily to sidestep a severely obstructionist (Republican) Congress (and Trump has signed several, most of which have been blocked in the Courts).
Remember
how Republicans were screaming and yelling about President Obama making the US look weak and ineffectual and "leading from behind" for the previous 8 years? Good times. At least he got good relations restored after the clusterf**k that was W. Bush. Now, Trump seems to be succeeding in undoing all of those efforts- and in the shortest amount of time possible. I hope that other countries don't believe that Trump is a true representation of the American people and that he is a momentary aberration but then again so many millions of voters actually believed that he was an acceptable choice for President- aided and abetted, of course by Putin's Russia.
