The Phony Outrage Machine is at it again...

PBO....“Sometimes, someone, usually Mom, leaves the workplace to stay home with the kids, which then leaves her earning a lower wage for the rest of her life as a result,” the president told his audience. “That’s not a choice we want Americans to make.”

Sounds to me like he's saying the choice that moms have is to either 1)stay home with the kids and suffer low wages the rest of their lives, or 2)work outside the home and stash the kids somewhere. Sounds to me like thinks that's a "Sophie's choice"...as do I. An especially lousy choice since no matter how you look at it, women make less than men -- at the same job, at different jobs, weekly, annually and by occupation.

But the RW howlers says he means that moms shouldn't have the choice of being stay at home moms.

Funny how perception colors what we hear/read.
