Donald Trump's wife said this?

. That your word is your bond and you do what you say and keep your promise. That you treat people with respect. They taught me to show the values and morals in my daily life.

Yeah, that was plagiarized. Because, um, that's pretty much the opposite of the man she married.

Kind of like Kim Kardashian talking about how she's raising North to be humble and keep a low profile.

Inspired by Trumad, I explored the lowest depths of Free Republic

and other loony wingnut hate sites.

Can you believe the crazy?

Highlights:

1) "Clinton Body Count--update"--accusing Clinton of murdering a DFC staffer because he was in on her plans to steal elections.

2) Accusing Loretta Lynch of being 'corrupt' because she isn't trying to throw Hillary Clinton in jail

3) A bunch of white people calling to "interrogate black allegiance" to the Democratic Party and "go to war with black congressmen, black mayors, and the entire black political establishment."

4) Accusing dedicated progressive and former cabinet secretary Robert Reich of being a 'fraud'

5) Accusing Hillary Clinton and the Clinton foundation of launching the attempted coup in Turkey last week

6) They're drooling over the new wingnut documentary "Clinton Cash"

7) Plenty of drooling over Judicial Watch, and hero worship for Jason Chaffetz and Trey Gowdy--one person even came out and said "I'm rooting for the Vast Rightwing Conspiracy."

These people are NUTS! I have never seen a bunch of bigger idiots.

Kerry urges Turkey to maintain democratic principles after coup attempt

Source: Washington Post

BRUSSELS — Secretary of State John F. Kerry said NATO will be scrutinizing Turkey in coming days to ensure that it fulfills the alliance’s requirements for democracy and the rule of law following a failed coup attempt.

“NATO also has a requirement with respect to democracy,” Kerry told reporters after European Union foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini warned Turkey not to execute coup plotters. She noted that countries with the death penalty cannot join the European Union, as Turkey, a NATO member, has sought to do.

State Department spokesman John Kirby said that while NATO will be watching Turkey carefully, “it’s too soon to say that their membership is at risk.”

Kerry said Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has repeatedly assured him that the government will respect democracy and the law. Kerry warned that NATO will “measure” its actions.

The WaPo emailed out a 'correction' on the original headline which said Kerry was warning Turkey that its NATO membership was in jeopardy.

Seems the original headline was correct.

Meet Germany's most famous refugee:

http://www.thedailybeast.com/cheats/2016/07/15/erdogan-seeks-asylum-in-germany-report.html?via=desktop&source=copyurl

Turkish president Tayyip Erdoğan is reportedly seeking asylum in Germany, as a military coup continues in Turkey, U.S. military sources tell NBC News. Erdoğan's presidential jet was allegedly denied landing rights at Istanbul's airport, before heading out of the country. Addressing Turkey via Facetime, Erdoğan asserted declared, “I am president,” and vowed to crush the opposition forces. He also said "This country can't be managed from Pennsylvania," directly linking the coup attempt to U.S.-based exiled imam Fethullah Gülen.

"We got 80% of what we wanted in this platform,"--Sanders campaign

Overall, though, they celebrated, touting the party's platform -- finalized in the wee Sunday morning hours -- as one that reflects the causes that animated the Vermont senator's campaign.

"We got 80% of what we wanted in this platform," top Sanders foreign policy adviser Warren Gunnels told CNN.

Those successes could keep in place plans for Sanders to appear in person with Clinton on Tuesday in New Hampshire, finally endorsing his Democratic primary rival.

Clinton's campaign also touted the platform. "We are proud of the work that Democrats did in Orlando and for coming together to further strengthen the most progressive platform in the history of our party," said Clinton senior policy adviser Maya Harris.

NB: Gunnels was in charge of negotiating all platform items for the Sanders campaign.

The people complaining that the 2016 Democratic platform is Republican lite are the same purist idiots who gave us wisdom such as "Bush=Gore." Get back to us when Bernie Sanders likes >80% of the RNC platform.

Sanders: 'We Have Got To Do Everything We Can' To Elect Clinton

Looks like Bernie is on our side. I had my doubts, but here we are.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) seems closer to putting his full support behind his opponent for the White House, Hillary Clinton, to further strengthen her campaign against the Republican Party's presumptive nominee, Donald Trump.

“We have got to do everything that we can to defeat Donald Trump and elect Hillary Clinton,” Sanders said Thursday to a Bloomberg reporter for a PBS program. “I don’t honestly know how we would survive four years of a Donald Trump [presidency]."

Trump Flip Flops on LGBTQ Rights – Now Supports NC HB2

http://www.peacock-panache.com/2016/07/trump-flip-flops-lgbtq-hb2-23736.html

Fast forward this week when alleged “LGBTQ rights” supporter Donald Trump decided to flip flop on the issue in order to support North Carolina’s discriminatory efforts.

When specifically asked about HB2, he said he supported the legislation.

“I’m going with the state,” he said in an interview before his rally at Raleigh’s Memorial Auditorium last night. “The state, they know what what’s going on, they see what’s happening and generally speaking I’m with the state on things like this. I’ve spoken with your governor, I’ve spoken with a lot of different people and I’m going with the state.”

For those keeping track, HB2 is one of the most anti-LGBTQ laws in effect across the nation at the moment in addition to forbidding local level minimum wage increases and the ability to sue for any sort of discrimination at the state level.

This is what Trump supports – the man who claims LGBTQ people should vote for him because he supports the community more than Hillary Clinton.

Think about that.

Just an awful human being. The worst ever nominated by either major party, at least since WWII.

LGBT groups blast Trump for voicing support for HB2 in Raleigh

Source: The News & Observer

Trump was asked for his opinion about the controversial LGBT law during an interview with The News & Observer ahead of his Raleigh rally.

“The state, they know what’s going on, they see what’s happening, and generally speaking I’m with the state on things like this,” he said. “I’ve spoken with your governor, I’ve spoken with a lot of different people, and I’m going with the state.”

On Wednesday, Human Rights Campaign and Equality North Carolina – the leading opponents of HB2 – issued a news release blasting Trump’s “endorsement” of the law.

“Let’s be clear, Donald Trump just gave one of the nation’s worst laws for LGBTQ people a full-throated endorsement,” JoDee Winterhof of Human Rights Campaign said in the news release.“By buddying up with Gov. Pat McCrory on the deeply discriminatory HB2, Donald Trump is unabashedly embracing a dangerous law that takes away the civil rights of LGBTQ people and has cost North Carolina not only its reputation but millions of dollars in economic losses.”

The same guy who said Orlando proved he was the most pro-gay candidate because he hates Muslims.

About as likable as a cold, wet shit.
