Yes. WHEN DonCon interrupts Biden he should adopt a Gene Wilder pose and let tRump spew.

THEN he can hammer home how the self-styled "Law and Order" president can't even obey Debate rules.

Biden can put his elbow on the lectern, rest his head on his chin and turn to watch tRump spew. When tRump runs out of steam, hammer him with the "Law and Order" hypocrisy. State how many indictments there have been under tRump compared to Obama & Democratic Presidents.

At this point, Biden wins more when he gets out of the way and does not stop his orange opponent from making so many mistakes.

31 people died of Covid-19 while tRump strutted and preened and filmed propaganda

The 7 day moving average of deaths is 747 per day in the US yesterday.

That's over 31 deaths per hour.

Assuming his big show took an hour, 31 people died during his show where he downplayed the virus as if 210,000+ deaths are nothing.

tRump is making the same mistake personally as he did with the economy

After the initial lockdown, tRump pushed and strong-armed governors to open up their economies too quickly. Many people stayed away.

The lesson is that defeating the virus with proper lockdown and countermeasures (like masking) is the best medicine for the economy. 210,000 dead and climbing is the worst.

So it is with tRump. He has rushed his return to the White House which will not help his health compared to staying at Walter Reed until the virus is truly defeated.

Herman Cain took five weeks to die. It was four weeks from his positive test. Trump was positive on Thursday (and likely knew it sooner one way or another). He might die on Halloween.

A big reason US rate so bad is systemic racism in healthcare: no sick days, symptoms dismissed, etc

The death rate for people of colour is higher than for whites. The reason is systemic racism: "death by a thousand cuts".

* PoC are less likely to have paid sick days, so they work with other PoC when ill
* With no paid sick days, they don't seek treatment as often or as early
* When they do, their symptoms are more likely to be dismissed or deprecated
. . . because HC providers think they are less smart
. . . ... or think the PoC is running some kind of con
. . . ... or think the PoC is a hypochondriac, etc.
. . . ... or doesn't speak English as well so are exaggerating
* When admitted, they get worse treatment
. . . they have less access to HC advocates outside the hospital on their behalf
. . . they are seen as not as important as some other white person
. . . they suffer badly from triage for ventilators or expensive treatments
. . . ... they, as perhaps a trucker or warehouse guy are thought of as expendable compared to lawyers and executives and occupations more commonly populated with whites

And on and on it goes.

If there is just 1% worse treatment at, say, 1 out every 10 decision/action points, or 50 out of 500 points on the way to death or near-death, each point is undetectable as an incident of racism, but they accumulate by multiplication. 1% is really 99% reversed in probability analysis, and they are multiplied out, so it is 0.99 x 0.99 x 0.99 ... = 0.99 raised to the power of 50 = 0.6050. Reverse that back by subtracting from 1.0 and the result is that they get 40% WORSE treatment overall.

Death by 50 cuts. Not even a thousand.

Data driven understanding is NOT white supremacist. It kills white supremacy.

Data driven understanding shows white supremacy has no basis in reality. It shows that race is a bogus concept and that there is no supremacy when the playing field is levelled.

It is subjectivity that subjugates people. It is individual narratives that over-ride other people. For example, "The Great Man" theory of history. Another example is the white man who ignores white privilege and class privilege to say "I worked hard for what I got" while disregarding that they had books at home and tutors and a rich school district with music classes and school trips to Europe, etc. Meanwhile people of colour had to work two jobs just to provide essentials and health care for their children.

"Individual narrative" is just a short hand for "my ignorance is just as valid as your knowledge".

Not a single share of Biden stock

@Weinsteinlaw
Seems like a good time for a reminder that when @JoeBiden first ran for office in 1972 he pledged not to own a single share of stock so long as he held public office. He kept that promise for his entire political career. Honesty and ethics matter.

Racism is magnified & enabled by classism everywhere, but especially in America

For example, it is used to get Republicon votes from "poor white trash" by encouraging them to look down on people of colour through Republicon terminology such as "welfare queens".

The latest reincarnation of racism is tRump "Law and Order" campaign complete with secret police assault and battery on peaceful protesters. Combine that with "all lives matter" (but masks don't) plus the attacks on "socialism" and it can be seen as a pattern of division along class and "race" lines.

Race does not exist. Racism does.

Class does not exist in the white America myth. Classism does exist in everyday practice.

For example, restricting availability of women's health services to locations that require driving to or day long bus travel is classism that has racist effects.

Why aren't all the militias & "patriots" literally up in arms against Feds kidnapping people?

Oh, yeah, hypocrisy and being afraid.

You would think that when they are constantly protesting against masks and gun control on the basis that it is TYRANNY! that they would be against unidentified people in military gear snatching citizens (CITIZENS!) off streets and stuffing them into unmarked vehicles.

But no.

Somehow masks are tyranny but government disappearing citizens is not tyranny.

Number one must be electoral reform. Ability to do everything else FLOWS from that.

* End voter suppression
* National standards for access
* - sufficient polling stations
* - vote by mail
* - no onerous voter ID
* End gerrymandering: independent commissions
* Any reduction of big money would be good
* Real efforts to combat foreign interference
* Real ways to fight fake info with real info

Need to support voting rights at the state level through federal action wherever possible.

Ideally, get rid of the Electoral College, but that would require a Constitutional Amendment.

Note: The Voting Rights Act of 1965 did not require an Amendment.
