A very sweet feel-good video-- must watch

A gentle reminder-- there ARE good people on this earth-- sometimes it's hard to remember.

A direct deposit was made to my bank account...

and I have no idea where it's from or what it's for

It's not the stimulus deposit (the amount is wrong) and it's not my unemployment payment

Has this happened to anyone else recently?

It's probably a mistaken deposit and it will soon be removed but I thought it was curious

Yes!

It's a vicious cycle-- I can't get to sleep before the wee hours of the morning, then I awake at 6:00am & feed the cats and then go back to sleep. So naturally, I awaken in the early afternoon, which throws me off for that night's sleep-- the pattern is repeated nightly. At first I was frustrated about it but decided it doesn't really matter right now. I never thought I'd say it, but I can't wait to get up early and feel refreshed and ready for the day.
I used to love sleeping in on weekends.

Frankly...

I don't use the "new" expressions unless I like them. Most of them (IMO) are insipid and meaningless.

The older ones I like because I consider them imaginative and meaningful.

Taking a dim view
Blessing in disguise
A dime a dozen
Taking it as it comes
Call it a day
Benefit of the doubt
Begging the question
Cutting corners
Get out of hand
Pull someone's leg
Pull yourself together
So far so good
Speak of the devil
The last straw
The best of both worlds

ALSO (straight from The Bard-- still used often after ~400 years!)
Heart of gold.
Kill with kindness. ...
Laughing stock. ...
Wild-goose chase. ...
Green-eyed monster. ...
Lie low.
Faint-hearted...
Apple of my eye

Cervantes also coined many phrases we still use-- but I'm in California and my power is going to be cut any minute so I can't elaborate.

Of all the incredibly marvelous Beatles' songs, which is the best?

IMO, A Day in the Life

Sorry-- something is wrong with the link
