Oops: Laura Bush Is Supporting Hillary, Condemns The GOP While Speaking About Women’s Issues

Laura Bush’s comments are making waves across the political world after she said at the 2016 Women in World Summit in New York City that she wanted our next president to be someone who cares about women in Afghanistan – it being a core issue for her. It just so happens, that describes Hillary Clinton perfectly (she visited the region 4 times during her time as Secretary of State), and, frankly, it’s not something any of the Republican candidates can run on.

If you take her for her word, that can only mean one thing, she wants Hillary Clinton to be president. She may not have used those exact words, but that’s basically what she just said. And – many people in the audience literally took it that way. For more on this, visit HERE.

If she doesn’t vote for Hillary, then she’d be supporting Donald Trump, and he’s already on the record for suggesting that the U.S. should target the families of terrorists in the region.

She may not actually go on the record and say Hillary’s name, but she doesn’t have to. Her words just did the talking for her.

Will DU ever get back to supporting Democratic Candidates and not attacking them? (HRC Group)

I find it strange that the continued attacks on Hillary Clinton are allowed to stand and get pushed to the top on this board. Its as if DU is no longer supporting the Democrats.

With the primary essentially behind us, isn't it time that some sort of order return to this site and those who do not wish to promote Democrats either change or move on?

rant off

Wendy's Increases Self-Service Kiosks Due To Minimum Wage

Investor's Business Daily is reporting that the Wendy’s restaurant chain is increasing its number of self-service ordering kiosks because of minimum wage hikes.

“Wendy’s said that self-service ordering kiosks will be made available across its 6,000-plus restaurants in the second half of the year as minimum wage hikes and a tight labor market push up wages,” the report says.

It will be up to the franchisees to decide whether or not to deploy the technology.

Wendy’s President Todd Penegor said company-operated stores, only about 10% of the total, are seeing wage inflation of 5% to 6%, driven both by the minimum wage and some by the need to offer a competitive wage “to access good labor.”

Just ask for links to back up the rhetoric from the BS posters

At one time nothing on this board was considered valid unless you could post a link backing up your claims. Otherwise it is just opinion and rhetoric.

So all we need to do is start demanding the integrity we once held everyone on this board to. I have been using this when a BSER responds with lies about Hillary. Most of the time they try to respond with more rhetoric and telling you it doesn't need to be linked. That is when you have them for the phony they are.

If you can't back it up with fact, then it is garbage.

California's RNC delegates not happy with their hour-long commute from Sandusky

No California Love? California's Republican National Convention delegates are "chafing at the cheap seats they're getting for the Republican National Convention in Cleveland," according to CNN.

As previously reported by cleveland.com, the California delegation is staying in Sandusky, about an hour west of downtown Cleveland. And Ronald Reagan's home state is none too pleased.

"We're pretty bitter about that," Harmeet Dhillon, vice chairwoman of the California Republican Party, told CNN. "It sucks to be California, we're like the ugly stepchild. They need us for our cash and our donors, they don't need us for anything else."

He Shupes, he scores: A fun nugget within the CNN story: Matt Shupe, a California GOP operative, will be staying with a friend in Cleveland who is also named Matt Shupe.

The two Shupes connected by doing what everyone did back when Facebook was new (here's looking at you, Andrew Tobias of Greensboro, North Carolina) — by finding people who shared his name and adding them as friends.

"When all this kinda happened I said, 'Hey, I know someone in Cleveland,'" California Shupe said, according to CNN. "So I started talking to him and his wife and they said I can come and stay with them."
