How many debates is enough?

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) scheduled six debates between October 2015 and March 2016, according to a press release.

The first will be held on October 13 in Nevada. It will be sponsored by CNN.

CBS News, its affiliate KCCI and the Des Moines Register will sponsor the second debate, which will be held November 14 at Drake University in Iowa.

The third debate will be held in Manchester, New Hampshire on December 19, and it will be hosted by ABC and WMUR.

The fourth debate will be held in Charleston South Carolina on January 17, and it will be hosted by NBC News and the Congressional Black Caucus Institute.

The fifth debate will be held in Miami, Florida in February or March, and it will be hosted by Univision and the Washington Post.

And the sixth debate will be held in Wisconsin in February or March, and it will be hosted by PBS.

I see threads every now and again calling the debate schedule rigged and they are not having enough debates. I see there are 6 debates scheduled, SIX, starting October 13.

So what is the real problem here? 6 debates are not enough? I know that for me, it's too damn many but I just wonder, how many do the people calling for more debates want?

Boehner: House Speaker Calls Presidential Candidate Ted Cruz 'Jackass

House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) apparently isn’t the biggest fan of Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), making that abundantly clear during a fundraising event for Rep. Scott Tipton (R-CO) on Wednesday evening.

According to a report by Alex Pappas of The Daily Caller, Boehner spoke candidly about the Texas Senator, saying he’s happy Cruz’s presidential aspirations have kept “that jacka**” out of Washington.

Have Plans Tonight? Cancel Them. Sarah Palin Is Interviewing Donald Trump.

Fed up with media bullies attacking Donald Trump's purported Bible fanaticism, Sarah Palin announced she will be interviewing the GOP frontrunner and non-active church member for what's sure to be a circus of a conversation. In a Facebook post, the former vice presidential candidate and fired Fox News host wrote today:

WTH, LAMESTREAM MEDIA! STAY OUT OF MY BIBLE

WTH? Lamestream media asks GOP personal, spiritual "gotchas" that they'd NEVER ask Hillary, or they'd feed the question to her and/or liberal cohorts before they asked it on-air (we know how these things work, lapdog media... the public's on to you), so good on Trump for screwing with the reporter. By the way, even with my reading scripture everyday I wouldn't want to answer the guy's question either... it's none of his business; it IS personal; what the heck does it have to do with serving as commander-in-chief; and these reporters trying to trip up conservatives can go pound sand until they ask the same things of their favored liberal pals. I'll cover this in my interview with Donald Trump and other candidates tonight on the One America News Network show "On Point." The more the media does this, the more they empower America to reject them and their bias as voters run to the anti-status quo candidates daring to Go Rogue.

Bigots Lose It As Florida City Renames ‘Old Dixie Highway’ To ‘Pres. Obama Highway’

Recent events have set off a wave of anti-Confederate iconoclasm that has been sweeping the South, encouraging people to relinquish symbols of the past and reconsider their ‘heritage’ of treason and racism. In the spirit of moving forward instead of clinging to what once was, the Riveria Beach City Council has voted to rename “Old Dixie Highway” to the “President Barack Obama Highway.”

《snip》

Reactions have been mixed, to say the least, and depending on who you ask. “There might soon be a place where Barack Obama and Martin Luther King Jr. meet — and it won’t be just in the hearts of Americans who revere both men” gushed the Palm Beach Post. “I think that the name should stay Old Dixie cause that’s a landmark, it’s history. It was there when we came, it has been here for years and I think we should leave it there” remarked one woman who chose to remain unidentified.

The US is averaging more than one mass shooting per day in 2015

As of August 26th, the US has had 247 mass shootings in the 238 days of 2015.

For those keeping track, that's an average of more than one shooting per day.

These numbers are according to the Mass Shooting Tracker created by the anti-gun subreddit Guns Are Cool.

Wednesday morning's stunning on-air fatal shooting in Roanoke, Virginia of a television reporter and a photographer wasn't even the first shooting of the day. Roughly three hours earlier at 3:15 a.m., four people were shot during a home invasion in Minneapolis.

Sorry, Righties, State Dept. Says There’s Nothing Illegal About Hillary’s Emails

Sorry, Righties, State Dept. Says There’s Nothing Illegal About Hillary’s Emails (VIDEO)

On the Democratic side of the 2016 presidential race, people have been all over the so-called “scandal” surrounding Hillary Clinton’s private email server. The right has been treating the issue like it’s the new Benghazi (which, of course, is their other favorite “Hilary campaign slaying” non-scandal). They’ve even gone so far as to not only smear Hillary and claim that she is untrustworthy, but call for criminal prosecution. Who can blame them, really? After all, nobody on their side, even their unexpectedly popular frontrunner Donald Trump, has a snowball’s chance in Hell of beating Hillary Clinton in a general election.

Well, it looks like the right will have to find a new fake scandal to try to take Hillary down with. On Tuesday, a U.S. State Department spokesperson, John Kirby, told CNN’s Chris Cuomo on New Day that there was no policy violation regarding the use of private emails.

“We have said in the past, Chris that there was no policy prohibiting the use of a private email account here at the State Department, and that is still a fact. Now, obviously, we have policies in place now that highly discourage that, and you are supposed to use your government account so that there is a constant, permanent record of it, but at the time she was not violating policy….I can tell you that there was no prohibition for her use of this, and we’ve since changed the policy to discourage that greatly, and in fact, the policy is that you have to use your government account for business.”

Kirby also made sure to note that there was no change in policy during Hillary Clinton’s run as Secretary of State. So, in other words, as those of us who are on the sane side of the fence already knew, she didn’t do anything even a little bit wrong, much less illegal. That’s from the State Department itself.

Only 3 ZIP codes in America without any Ashley Madison accounts

One of the reasons why the Ashley Madison hack has swept through the United States' imagination to such a profound degree is how all-encompassing it seemed. The hack clawed its way into communities all across the country — well, not quite every community.
Gawker’s Gabrielle Bluestone has uncovered that there are precisely three ZIP codes across the country that have no record of Ashley Madison users. That’s ZIP codes, not area codes. And what do they have in common? They're partially lacking two things: the internet and a large amount of people.

Gawker’s discovery highlights a pretty dark truth. These three ZIP codes are probably the only ones in the United States that don't house spouses looking to cheat — at least not by using Ashley Madison.
