When the U.K.-based drama teacher got a homophobic text from one of his students' parents, he was shocked. The parent had texted the founder of the Talking Props Theatre School that their children would no longer attend his class because of his "lifestyle."

"Hi Michael. Following our chat this week I have decided that [redacted] and [redacted] will not be attending class on Monday. You have a strong reputation for performing arts which encouraged me to sign my children up for classes," she wrote. "I have recently learned of your lifestyle and as a Christian I can not allow my children to be influenced by unconventional ideas."

She then explains that she believes marriage should be between a man and a woman, and requested a refund.

Though obviously insulted, Neri, 26, didn't back down.

He texted back a response that was classy yet poignant, which he shared on Twitter.

Frustrated Gunman Can’t Believe How Far He Has To Drive To Find Nearest Planned Parenthood Clinic

AMARILLO, TX—Expressing frustration with the lack of convenient locations in his area, deranged gunman and anti-abortion fanatic Jared Broussard reported Monday that he could not believe how far he would have to drive to find the nearest Planned Parenthood clinic. “You have to be kidding me; I figured I’d need to go 10, maybe 15 miles, tops, but the closest one is almost 250 miles away,” said a visibly exasperated Broussard, adding that he would have to scrap his plans for the entire day and leave right now if he wanted to reach the health care provider before it closed this evening. “God, the nearest one isn’t even in this state. It’s actually faster for me to drive across the border to Santa Fe, and even then it’s still a four-hour trip. That barely leaves me enough time to buy ammo.” Broussard added that, given the length of the drive, he was thankful that he would likely not have to make a round trip.

Alabama Surrenders In Fight Against Planned Parenthood-State will pay Planned Parenthood's legal fee

Alabama Surrenders In Fight Against Planned Parenthood
The state will pay Planned Parenthood's legal fees after failed suit.

Alabama called off a legal battle with Planned Parenthood on Monday after a federal judge last month blocked the state from defunding the reproductive health organization's clinics amid national controversy about its handling of aborted fetal tissue.

In a joint court filing, both parties said that Alabama had resumed funding of Planned Parenthood clinics in Mobile and Birmingham, and the clinics were following state regulations.

The agreement followed an order by U.S. District Judge Myron Thompson to stop Alabama from terminating its agreement with a Planned Parenthood regional affiliate providing services under Medicaid, the federal and state healthcare program for the poor.

The state agreed to pay $51,000 in legal fees in settling the lawsuit, the Associated Press reported.

Poll: More Than 40% of Women Having an Abortion Attend Church, 70% Say They are Christians

Among women who have had an abortion, according to the study:

Two-thirds (65 percent) say church members judge single women who are pregnant.

A majority (54 percent) thinks churches oversimplify decisions about pregnancy options.

Fewer than half (41 percent) believe churches are prepared to help with decisions about unwanted pregnancies.

Only 3 in 10 think churches give accurate advice about pregnancy options.

A strong majority of the post-abortive women who were surveyed identified as Christians, with 43 percent saying they had attended church monthly or even more often at the time of their abortion, according to the study.
