Elizabeth Warren Expresses Support For Medical Marijuana Legalization

Elizabeth Warren Expresses Support For Medical Marijuana Legalization

Massachusetts Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren said she supports legalizing medical marijuana during a radio interview with Boston’s WTKK-FM Monday. In answering a question about the Massachusetts ballot initiative, she recalled sitting with her father on his death bed, when “there was some discussion” about whether marijuana would have helped:

You know, I held my father’s hand while he died of cancer, and it’s really painful when you do something like that up close and personal. My mother was already gone and I was very very close to my father. And it puts me in a position of saying, if there’s something a physician can prescribe that can help someone who’s suffering, I’m in favor of that. Now, I want to make sure they’ve got the right restrictions. It should be like any other prescription drug. That there’s careful control over it. But I think it’s really hard to watch somebody suffer that you love.

Robert Reich: Romney is the avatar of the upper-class

“We have not had this degree of income inequality in America for 80 years and by some measures 100 years,” he told Current TV host Cenk Uygur. “Go back to the Gilded Age of the robber barons. That’s when you find the same kind of concentration of income and wealth inequality and power at the very highest reaches of the United States. We don’t want to go back there.”

Reich said the upper class wanted to defend their power and wealth, “and that’s why they are sponsoring Mitt Romney, who is the avatar, the sponsor of his class.”

He explained that the strong purchasing power of the middle class was imperative to keep the economy health. While the wealthy tended to accumulate their money, the middle class used their income to purchase goods and services, which drove up demand and lead to new jobs being created.

“If there is not enough money in the middle class and among the poor, then what do you get? You get a stagnate economy,” Reich said.

5th Grader Elijah Answers Mitt Romney's Question, Why Airplane Windows Don't Roll Down

This video was made by Elijah's mother, Kia McClain. In her own words:

Sorry I completely lost it while attempting to ask my son the question. I was LITERALLY crying I was laughing so hard!! Note, my son is ONLY IN 5th grade and Romney is running for president.... The funniest thing is that he actually thought he was dumb for not remembering who Romney was, like oh DUH off tape.

Another Example Of Our President's-Incredible Ability To Stay Cool/Focused On What Counts-AMERICANS!

Obama brushes off Israeli pressure over Iran
(AFP) –
WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama likened Israeli pressure on him to draw a line in the sand over Iran's nuclear ambitions as noise he tries to ignore, according to remarks aired Sunday.

"When it comes to our national security decisions -- any pressure that I feel is simply to do what's right for the American people. And I am going to block out -- any noise that's out there."
