Perry Como and future of music, question

I've pondered this in a few of my idle moments. Could a singer such as Perry Como ever come around again ? I'm sure some never cared for his style, but to me he had a good voice (layman's opinion). I guess the same question can be asked of female artists. Christina Aguilera, back in the day, was hailed as having a wonderful voice, but her career seems to have stalled.

My only quibble so far, and it's a big one, is they need to provide translations for their sign-up page, but I'm guessing they really don't care about the non-Russian speaking audience. They provide cool themes for the inbox (see below)



Once you get to the inbox, you can click the flag icon in the lower right hand corner and change it to the UK flag for English, or hell, just leave it on the Russian flag if you want to learn Russian !

Ever been to Argentina ?

I have, in 1997. I went to Buenos Aires. Nice people, lovely city. I took a river cruise while there, and saw the Tango Museum (the dance originated there). My 4 years of high school Spanish was pretty rusty but many knew English. Buenos Aires reminded me strongly of Paris, with some very chic residential districts.

Ever been there, lived there or wish to live/visit there ?

Microsoft sticks to vow, leaves XP exposed to ongoing attacks

Computerworld - Hackers are exploiting an Internet Explorer (IE) vulnerability that was left unpatched in Windows XP on Tuesday, Microsoft and outside security experts said.

The bug, identified as CVE-2014-1815, was one of two Microsoft patched with a critical update issued Tuesday for IE6, IE7, IE8, IE9, IE10 and IE11. In the accompanying security bulletin, Microsoft noted that the vulnerability had been both known to hackers and used by them prior to yesterday's update.

"Microsoft is aware of limited attacks that attempt to exploit this vulnerability in Internet Explorer," the bulletin stated.

But because Windows XP exhausted its support privileges last month, users running the aged operating system did not receive the IE security update, as did owners of Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 PCs.

Have you ever known any kind and decent rich people ?

"Rich people" = net worth north of $10,000,000. Maybe that's too low these days, but a starting point for chatting. Yes, I realize one does not demand financial statements from people unless you're a CPA/auditor/SEC/etc

Hosts, if this gets too contentious, feel free to lock this or I'll self-delete. I'm NOT trying to stick up for or advocate for the 1%. God knows there's many assholes among those ranks. I'm just simply curious. Personally, I've known a few decent ones, but then again, I don't know how they got their money. I always find it strange when billionaires (who probably fucked over many people) suddenly donate millions to children's charities or other worthy causes. Makes you go hmmmm.
