Yorkie Mom's JournalLooks like 1/4 to 1/3 of the R's on HPSCI committee now backpedaling conclusions
Minus Nunes (who's nominally recused), there are 12 Rs on HPSCI. 3 have outright disavowed their original presentation of their conclusions. 1 doesn't seem excited about it. Depending how you count it, that's 1/4 to 1/3 of the committee's majority that is now backpedaling.

Top Arab spy and prince's conduit to the Kremlin were at the Seychelles meeting between Trump donorTop Arab spy and prince's conduit to the Kremlin were at the Seychelles meeting between Trump donor Erik Prince and Russian oligarch which Mueller is probing
*Erik Prince, the billionaire Blackwater founder and Kirill Dmitriev, a Russian banker close to the Kremlin met in the Seychelles in January 2017
*Robert Mueller is probing the meeting amid claims it was an attempt to set up a back channel between the Kremlin and the Trump transition
*Prince denies that is the case and says it was a chance meeting after he went to the island to meet the crown prince of Abu Dhabi , Mohamed bin Zayed
*But DailyMail.com can reveal that Zayed brought with him Hamad al Mazroie, the de facto head of the United Arab Emirates intelligence service

Another Kremlin enemy has been found dead in London
Close friend of late oligarch Boris Berezovsky claimed political asylum in UK after being convicted of fraud
A Russian exile who was close friends with the late oligarch Boris Berezovsky has been found dead in his London home, according to friends.
Nikolai Glushkov was discovered by his family and friends late on Monday night, aged 68. The cause of death is not yet clear. One of his friends, the newspaper editor Damian Kudryavtsev, posted the news on his Facebook page.
In the 1990s, Glushkov worked for the state airline Aeroflot and Berezovskys LogoVAZ car company. In 1999, as Berezovsky fell out with Putin and fled to the UK, Glushkov was charged with money laundering and fraud. He spent five years in jail and was freed in 2004.
In recent years, Glushkov had lived in London, where he received political asylum. In 2011, he gave evidence at the court case brought by Berezovsky against his fellow oligarch Roman Abramovich, who remained on good terms with the Kremlin.

Quite the story here on Felix Sater
Felix Sater has been cast as a Russian mafioso, a career criminal, and a key business associate of President Donald Trump but he spent more than two decades as an intelligence asset who helped the US government track terrorists and mobsters. Greed is my go-to weapon.
In the sprawling Trump-Russia investigation, one name constantly pops up: Felix Sater. In story after story, Sater is described as Donald Trumps former business partner, a convicted stock swindler who was born in the Soviet Union, worked in Russia, tried to win Trump a deal in Moscow, and even helped broker a Ukrainian peace plan that Vladimir Putin would have loved.
Basically, hes portrayed as something just short of a Russian spy.
Effectively, he has been a spy but for the United States. For the first time, BuzzFeed News has verified the surprising sweep of Saters undercover work and many of his specific exploits. He worked as an asset for the CIA and the Defense Intelligence Agency (or DIA) and tracked Osama bin Laden. Then he worked for more than a decade for the FBI, providing intel on everything from the mob to North Koreas drive for nuclear weapons. He still operates as a source for the bureau, according to two current FBI agents.
... snip
Now BuzzFeed News has obtained the statement Sater gave under oath to House Intelligence Committee investigators at his attorneys office in December, interviewed him extensively, and corroborated many details of his spy-thriller account through legal documents, emails, letters, and interviews with 10 current and former law enforcement and intelligence officials familiar with his undercover work.

John Ashcroft (former US attorney general) filed FARA for the nation of Qatar
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The government of Qatar has hired John Ashcroft, the U.S. attorney general during the Sept. 11 attacks, as it seeks to rebut accusations from U.S. President Donald Trump and its Arab neighbors that it supports terrorism.
Qatar will pay the Ashcroft Law Firm $2.5 million for a 90-day period as the country seeks to confirm its efforts to fight global terrorism and comply with financial regulations including U.S. Treasury rules, according to a Foreign Agents Registration Act, or FARA, filing on Friday with the Justice Department.
The firms work will include crisis response and management, program and system analysis, media outreach, education and advocacy regarding the clients historical, current and future efforts to combat global terror and its compliance goals and accomplishments, according to a letter by Ashcroft firm partner Michael Sullivan included in the filing.

Ashcroft was U.S. attorney general under President George W. Bush from February 2001 to February 2005, turbulent years in which U.S. policies and laws were reshaped by the so-called war on terrorism that followed the 2001 al Qaeda attacks.

You do realize that the nation's top law enforcement official has a sweeping security clearance that allows him access to our most precious secrets, right?
Once you've had a clearance of that level of access, your brain literally becomes an asset of the Nation. What you know from that job could be used to grievously harm America.
Not every top government job has such access to sensitive to information. SecAg gets some secrets, but not as much as DIRCIA. SecCommerce gets some, but not as much as SecState or DIRFBI.
Attorney General gets to work with DIRFBI and runs the National Security Division, which prosecutes espionage. Everyone works for POTUS (and the American people, first and foremost), but these jobs are really, really special.
Once you have that job - even after you quit - you are expected to maintain close contact with the government to report any activities by and with foreigners. Like, even if you're just going on vacation.
Once you have that job - even after you quit - you are expected to maintain close contact with the government to report any activities by and with foreigners. Like, even if you're just going on vacation.
See, we need to know if any foreigners are TRYING TO GET AT YOU. We generally assume that you, a highly-trusted patriot, would not BE ACTIVELY WORKING WITH OR FOR THEM. 😠
Perhaps now you understand why WHAT MIKE FLYNN, JOHN ASHCROFT, AND A SHOCKING NUMBER OF OTHERS HAVE DONE APPEARS VERY, VERY BAD. 😡
$2.5 MILLION FOR THREE MONTHS OF LEGAL WORK FROM A ST. LOUIS LAW FIRM SEEMS CURIOUS, WHEN IT'S FOR A FOREIGN GODDAMNED POWER, DON'T YOU THINK?
https://twitter.com/ericgarland/status/972184613849391104
Lemme just put a fine point on it: if you have to report being chatty with Juan the bartender when you went to Mexico with your spouse, TAKING $2.5 MILLION FROM A FOREIGN POWER LOOKS SORTA SUSPICIOUS WHEN YOU'VE BEEN THE F**KING ATTORNEY GENERAL. 😡
GET MAKING SOME BIGLY SHOW ME BARRELS. I THINK WE MAY NEED THEM. 😠⚖️🇺🇸

Obama in Talks to Provide Shows for Netflix
WASHINGTON Former President Barack Obama is in advanced negotiations with Netflix to produce a series of high-profile shows that will provide him a global platform after his departure from the White House, according to people familiar with the discussions.
Under terms of a proposed deal, which is not yet final, Netflix would pay Mr. Obama and his wife, Michelle, for exclusive content that would be available only on the streaming service, which has nearly 118 million subscribers around the world. The number of episodes and the formats for the shows have not been decided.
Mr. Obama does not intend to use his Netflix shows to directly respond to President Trump or conservative critics, according to people familiar with discussions about the programming. They said the Obamas had talked about producing shows that highlight inspirational stories.
But the Netflix deal, while not a direct answer to Fox News or Breitbart.com, would give Mr. Obama an unfiltered method of communication with the public similar to the audiences he already reaches through social media, with 101 million Twitter followers and 55 million people who have liked his Facebook page.
