Is everyone dying of COVID in the most horrible distress they talk about?

They say, like you are drowning?

Or are some people sedated and don't have to die in that way?

Larry Summers advising Biden.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-04-23/larry-summers-advising-biden-campaign-on-economic-recovery

Former Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers is advising Joe Biden’s presidential campaign on economic policy, including its plans to revive the U.S. economy after the coronavirus pandemic, according to five people familiar with his involvement.

The Obama and Clinton administration veteran’s role will likely roil progressives who view his past work on the 2009 recovery as too favorable to big banks. That’s awkward for the Biden campaign at a time when it is trying to win the trust of former supporters of Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren.

Summers was the first name on the “Biden do not reappoint list” published last month by the American Prospect’s Robert Kuttner, who wrote that Summers in 2009 “not only lowballed the necessary economic stimulus and ended it prematurely, but he successfully fought for rescuing the biggest banks rather than taking them into temporary receivership.”

Summers’s involvement in Biden’s campaign, however, would likely reassure Wall Street that Biden is not moving too far to the left from the centrist positions that earned him his establishment support.

Opposition from the left kept Summers from being nominated for Federal Reserve Chairman by President Barack Obama in September 2013, when a handful of Senate Democrats, including Warren, Sherrod Brown, Jon Tester and Jeff Merkley, complained to the White House that he was too lax on financial regulation. Summers withdrew his name from consideration after weeks of debate within the White House about a possibly difficult confirmation fight.

Biden commits to woman VP, but doesn't commit to woman of color

I’d Take Her In A Heartbeat’: Joe Biden Says He Would Pick Michelle Obama To Be His Vice President

Biden told KDKA he would not commit to a woman of color on his ticket.

Note: surely the following is mIsquoted? Just sounds pretty convoluted imho.

"I’ll commit to that be a woman because it is very important that my administration look like the public, look like the nation. And there will be, committed that there will be a woman of color on the Supreme Court, that doesn’t mean there won’t be a vice president, as well,” Biden said.

“I think it’s really important now that we establish once and for all, we should have had a woman president already, in Hilary (Clinton), in my view,” Biden added. “There are a number of qualified women out there.”

Best homemade mask material per new study..and Quack Dr. Don was WRONG

https://news.yahoo.com/best-coronavirus-face-mask-materials-new-study-120000624.html

President Donald Trump suggested it wouldn’t hurt the public to wear masks, but that scarves could be a perfectly suitable substitute.

It doesn’t have to be a mask. It can be a scarf,” Trump said. “What I do see people doing here is using scarves. And I think in a certain way, depending on the fabric, I think in a certain way, a scarf is better, it’s actually better.”

A new study of the best and worst materials for DIY face masks just proved he was absolutely incorrect.

So my favorite grocery store announced last night a worker tested positive for CV

They won't say who. I don't mean name of course, just that I'd feel safer if it was a truck unloader vs the butcher.

Anyway getting delivery today and thought I'd look up " should you wash your groceries".

Get a video of Sanjay Gupta. Said you can use any kind of spray cleaner you want. Doesn't have to have virus killing ingredients or be hot and sudsy water This makes zero sense to me. Why wouldn't be the same as your hands?

I don't know who is monitoring stimulus $, but my dinky little airport got $18 MILLION

https://www.wacotrib.com/news/local/waco-regional-airport-getting-18-million-in-federal-relief-money/article_7320737f-c6ed-5f32-a7ff-02e87ba50ac2.html

Waco. 6 flights a day on small AA jets, (down to two). Twenty five min flights back and forth to DFW. Two gates. In better times, they have poor delay % and high cancellation rates. Many times end up driving to Dallas or will miss connection.

Other airports:
Elsewhere in the region, Robert Gray Army Airfield in Killeen will receive $2.2 million, Skylark Field in Killeen will receive $30,000, Draughon-Miller Central Texas Regional in Temple and McGregor Executive in Waco will each receive $69,000, and the Texas State Technical College Waco airport will receive $1,000.

The amount of the new relief grants was determined by an FAA formula factoring in operational costs, revenue and combined debt service, which the city-run airport does not have.

He said he is not sure what other projects the money will be used for at the moment, but he has a list of ideas he will review with FAA officials before deciding.
