In my family, my grandparents and some aunts and uncles were very prejudiced, and used to make racist jokes at the table, like it was nothing. My Mom and I had a huge argument about it, with them. They got the message that we did not want them to say these things.

UPDATED at 11:30 a.m. with the man, in is his mid-40s, remaining stable at a hospital, police said.
One person was shot Monday night inside a Chuck E. Cheese’s pizzeria, and police were searching for two suspects.

St. Charles police spokesman Erik Lawrenz said police were called to the pizzeria at 8:24 p.m. A man, in his mid-40s, was shot several times and was taken to a hospital and was in serious condition, authorities said.
