Unfortunately… that jury is full

Well, it finally happened to me… within a second of getting jury notice and responding.

Thank you for choosing to serve. Unfortunately, that Jury is full.
Our community relies on people like you to help maintain a certain level of civil discourse, and we very much appreciate your willingness to spend some time serving on a Jury. Unfortunately, there was a glitch with our software and too many people were asked to serve on this Jury. We apologize for the inconvenience. We hope to fix this problem soon.

You remain eligible to serve on a Jury, and could be asked again at any time. When that happens, we hope that you will choose to serve again at that time. (Hopefully next time our software will not let you down.)

Thank you for your time, and thank you for your understanding.

Gee, I had JUST finished posting about a goat anal stimulator… I thought I had tripped over the line again!

Here's what you do when you're sick of your "in-box" congressional e-mail

First, Rep Keith Rothfus's bullshit message -

The situation unfolding in Iraq is a tragedy.

Almost 4,500 fellow Americans made the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq defending our freedom and fighting oppression and tyranny. More than 32,000 men and women who served our country in Iraq bear the wounds of war. And all who served had extraordinary pressures put on their families.

Unless you have lived it, one cannot begin to know the pain experienced by the families of the fallen and wounded.

Our men and women in uniform fought for an ideal. That ideal is freedom. The freedom of religion. The freedom of speech. The freedom to assemble and vote and make ones voice heard.

That ideal will never die.

(this is where I'd had it… so my response….)

Dear Mr. Rothfus,

We never should have invaded Iraq 11 years ago. Had you done your homework, you would have this knowledge. The situation you call "unfolding" is the handywork of the neocons like Dick Cheney, George Bush and his father, George HW Bush, Condi Rice, Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Perle, and the entire embedded media who went to sleep as they reported what they were told.

We killed countless Iraqis after the invasion of "shock and awe"… for what? We weren't even in the right country, since the majority of the highjackers were from Saudi Arabia and/or funded by them. We, with our vast military intelligence couldn't or wouldn't even find OBL until this administration's "discovery" and quick elimination without evidence to the American people. We, with our vast military budget couldn't get in and out of a conflict we brought on WITHOUT finding evidence of "weapons of mass destruction".

Where the hell were YOU? Haven't you gotten this information yet? Why the "tragedy unfolding" newsletter? What's your point, Representative Rothfus?"

You know, you really don't represent us. You instead carry on the non-representation we had with Tim Murphy and his photo ops for over 10 years.

Wake up and find the real information. Stop supporting the "war criminals are us" mentality of Bush/Cheney as outlined over 15 years ago in the Project for the New American Century (PNAC).

Have a nice day.

Thank you,

(us)

P.S. It's nice to know the nearest local office WE have is in Johnstown, over 30 miles from here.

Please DU this poll from WSJ - "Should Towns be allowed to use Zoning to ban Fracking?"

Here: http://blogs.wsj.com/metropolis/2014/06/17/wsj-poll-should-towns-be-allowed-to-use-zoning-regulations-to-ban-fracking/

As a past local government official, I want to tell you that zoning districts should reflect the best use of land management. You cannot have the state (as PA tried to do) come in and usurp local government's decision on how that land should be managed.

Please join me in the ban of such land use. We've almost gone insane over the ALEC written legislation here that will be the death of us, if we don't weigh in.

Dear Friends and Activists… California leads the way out of Citizen's United decision...

From an e-mail with subject heading, "Big Positive News About The Movement To Overturn Citizens United"

We have major good news to report on multiple fronts.

First, thanks to the diligent activism of our CA participants,
SB1272, the Overturn Citizens United Act, appears to be headed for a
passage vote in its last state committee before it goes to the full
CA Assembly, having already passed the CA Senate. This would put a
measure on the November ballot to give the citizens of CA a chance to
speak out on whether they support a constitutional amendment
specifically, to get the big special interest money out of our
elections.

The massive importance of this is that it will dramatically increase
turnout for the very candidates we must elect to make a
constitutional amendment actually happen, and can be a powerful model
for how to do it nationwide, state by state.

Second, we were just notifed by Kickstarter that they have selected
our Citizens United, The Movie, Day 2 Shoot project as one of their
OFFICIAL staff picks. This is HUGE news, as we again are moving into
the top 10 most popular of all current Kickstarter movie projects.

Citizens United, The Movie, on Kickstarter: http://kck.st/1v0dhXM

And we just posted on this page the latest update of progress on the
production of this important mobilization vehicle in the form of a
full length feature dramatic film.

In the new video you can watch the fully completed opening sequence
with the James Madison voiceover and fresh new clips we shot for our
montage of colonial activities in authentic attire, thanks to the
wholehearted cooperation of Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation.

And we have assembled our first edit of the green screen footage of
our main founding fathers scene with James Madison and Alexander
Hamilton. The acting is great and the hair styling and costumes are
perfect. We are just starting to put that together with the true to
historical life backgrounds, but when you see the final thing all
assembled we promise it will be stunning, a critical scene to set a
baseline in the movie for what the founding fathers REALLY meant the
Constitution to mean.

The new Kickstarter round only has another 9 days to run, so please
take a moment to check it out while you have the chance, share the
page with your social media contacts, and if you are inspired to make
a kind contribution of any amount to help bring with dramatic movie
production home, we have lots of great rewards for you there, some
available nowhere else.

You may forward this message to any friends who would find it
important.

I absolutely want a season 3 of Orphan Black

It's almost season 2's final and I'm already gonna miss it.

I'm not sure if it's primarily the crazy character development or how damned good it acted, but damn… sure hope there's a season 3!

Supreme Court Reject Appeal from NYT Reporter over Refusal to ID source...

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Monday turned down an appeal from James Risen, a reporter for The New York Times facing jail for refusing to identify a confidential source.

The court’s one-line order gave no reasons but effectively sided with the government in a confrontation between what prosecutors said was an imperative to secure evidence in a national security prosecution and what journalists said was an intolerable infringement of press freedom.

The case arose from a subpoena to Mr. Risen seeking information about his source for a chapter of his 2006 book, “State of War.” Prosecutors say they need Mr. Risen’s testimony to prove that the source was Jeffrey Sterling, a former C.I.A. official.

The United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, in Richmond, Va., ordered Mr. Risen to comply with the subpoena. Mr. Risen has said he will refuse.

“I will continue to fight,” Mr. Risen said Monday.

This ought to burn your ass… So, not only does the SCOTUS refuse to hear Mr. Rosen's case, but their message to the American people is "To HELL with protecting you journalist's right to keep sources confidential!"

Where are we going, America? They don't even provide a reason why they don't want to hear it… Gee, I wonder if there is a Constitutional Lawyer from Chicago who might recognize a reporter's privilege who's President now?

Hello???
June 3, 2014

This may be the question of the month.

We have transparency here, so this makes all the sense in the world. Therefore, can we end the anonymity of alerters and juries?

I believe it will make juries more credible. I believe will level the playing field in the polarity of thought.

What say the Administrators?

Thank you,

MMM
