There is a bunny living in my Forsythia thicket in my yard.

I've seen it go in and out several times and there is one spot where it likes to lay. It ventures out sometimes when I'm on the porch and doesn't run when I move or speak to it. Yesterday, I was doing a little yard cleanup and it came out and hopped around within 10 feet.

There are other bunnies in the yard from time to time, but this one has become a regular. I'm going to start putting out some fruit and veggie scraps to see what happens.

What kind of judge would do that?

The nominee knows that the nomination is offered for crass partisan reasons. The nominee knows that a substantial majority of the country regards the nomination as illegitimate. To accept the nomination is to declare oneself a partisan loyalist. What kind of judge would do that?

I'm worried by a judge who'd accept a nomination under these circumstances.

When someone becomes the president of the United States without winning the popular vote that’s called electile dysfunction.

Apple Slab Pie update.

Well, I made the pie and it turned out pretty decent. It's not an award winning pastry, but I won't get any complaints from the guys I work with. I used this recipe: https://www.bakepedia.com/apple-crumb-slab-pie-pat-crust/

I followed the recipe except for the filling. The only thing I did differently was to add a couple tablespoons of cornstarch and I cooked the filling in a large skillet until the juices were thickened and the apple slices had started to soften a little. I was surprised that the pastry did not get soggy at all.

If I make it again, I will probably only make about half the amount of crumb topping that it calls for and add a little more sugar to that mixture.

Your reminder that the Constitution doesn't set a limit on the number of Supreme Court justices. Lincoln added a tenth justice in 1863.

Republicans are packing the Court right now.

Does a 6th GOP justice -- nominated by an impeached president who lost the popular vote by 3M, confirmed by GOP senators representing 15M fewer Americans than their Democratic colleagues, after Obama's pick couldn't even get a vote -- justify expanding the size of the Court?

I haven't checked the math on this, but it's a sobering thought.

200,000 Dead Americans at a height of 5 foot 9 would stretch, head-to-toe, 217 miles.

It would take over 3 and a half hours to drive past them all at 60 MPH.

In that time 150 more people would die. Another 862 feet.
