Trump is way more unpopular in canada than the US. Republicans too. And

gerrymandering we hate. It is cheating pure and simple. We see what it has done to you. We want to help but we don't want to get closer. Cascadia with ny and mass would be great in a dream. All places where civic engagement is high and people aren't brainwashed into destroying their liberal democracy by voting for republicans and then feeling bitter when they have less chance at the american dream. Already Ontario and Quebec have done environmental deals with California. So we can do some stuff together. Hydro quebec is there after every hurricane in the US it seems, fixing the power lines. When we had the ice storm in ottawa and 1/2 of the branches here broke their were guys with chainsaws and trucks from the US in a matter of days. I feel sorry for Democrats in the US. It is traumatizing to have your democratic world destroyed by selfish, manipulative, grifters. We all need to fight the right right now because the world needs the USA's leadership. Family was in Washington for a summer job and was awed by the talented people they met there. You will lead the world again. You will be a liberal democracy. And then maybe we can go back to dreaming and making fun of each other as things are not so serious. For now we fight the good fight.

Montreal and Quebec City are wonderful. Well worth a trip. European culture and food. Oh the food.

I see another GOP campaign has started against Pelosi. The whispers

were before 2016 'should Nancy be House Leader'? Nancy is too old. She is not effective. Weĺl the was made House Leader and she is great. HELL YES!. Americans don't want impeachment. But they do want Trump out of office in 2020. Nancy Pelosi is right on the mark. That is why the drumbeat to belittle her has started again. She is our best asset right now. It is not just that she is a star. She is reading the stars. Don't fall for the GOP BS. If Trump were to be impeached he would not resign, the senate would not impeach him, and his base would hate democrats, bond with each other and elect Ivanka next. He needs to be defeated electorally. Nancy is tempering the democratic nomination race in the way GOP hate most: encouraging candidates to temper medicare for all. To go slower. The right hates that. They are scared of Warren and want her to be as left wing as possible. Let Pelosi read the stars. She'll steer us to victory.

So insurance industry patients can negotiate better prices. So people

with private drug insurance get good prices. And they are better off. Talk about an picking winners and losers. More like picking living and diers.

September 19, 2019

That makes me think: why are republican insurance companies okay

with the price of meds skyrocketing? Do they pay the same price as the public? Or do they get to negotiate deals?

September 16, 2019

Now he says an apology and a change makes horrid views okay. That was quick.

Those wedge issues the GOP has forced on the right wing voters in canada has created more than a few chew toys for Liberals.

Thinking and feeling have a well known liberal bias.Isn't that why they are judges..

because of their wisdom implementing the law? So i take it there is a death lobby out there that thinks opioid deaths are a good thing?

Bet the Saudis regret alienating the publics of Western nations about

now. Crown Prince is not popular abroad. Iran has drones. There is no leader of the free world to stop the war in Yemen or ensure iran is in the family of nations. World oil supply cut by 6% today as drones hit 1/2 of saudi supply. But I wonder if big oil is happy?

Pompeo Blames Iran for Attack on Saudi Oil Supply

September 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard 42 Comments

"SNIP.....

“Yemen’s Houthi rebels claimed responsibility for drone attacks on two key oil installations deep inside Saudi Arabia on Saturday, facilities that process the vast majority of the country’s output and raising the risk of a disruption in world oil supplies,” the New York Times reports.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo blamed Iran, which backs the Houthis, calling it “an unprecedented attack on the world’s energy supply” and asserting, “There is no evidence the attacks came from Yemen.”

“It was the single most audacious attack on Saudi Arabia that the Houthis have claimed since the kingdom intervened in Yemen’s war more than four years ago, devastating the impoverished country and creating the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.”

If you read the economists they have stories of ceos realizing they can't just

listen to stockholders anymore but must listen to stakeholders like suppliers, customers, etc. No mention of unions at the table. No mention of a seat at the table for anyone. They do that in Germany where all sorts of stakeholders sit at the table. And the stockholder thing is bogus. People buy stocks that are growing. Blaming them for predatory practices across the business world is keeping responsibility away from ceos and movement conservative think tanks and the way they changed business school. The stockholders are not that powerful.Turning corporations into sociopaths was not what a majority of stockholders cried out for. That was a movement conservatism, dark money ceo thing. A small minority of the country did that.

I need to know how she gets teased by her family, friends, colleagues and students.

I know she is a great egg. That comes across in all her policy positions. Being able to imagine her being teased would help me see it visually. I'm not getting much of a visual right now and 10% of voters are dyslexics who are visual based. Plus it would diminish how Trump makes fun of her indigenous heritage issue. We are all blessed and challenged. The only person who is the best, least racist, smartest, stable, big crowded politician is Trump. And i'd like to see that contrast between the two of them in the big race. Plus swing state voters seem to like politicians who make gaffes like Biden or Trump. They don't like pointy headed intellectuals. IMHO

Moments ago Bernie Sanders rebuked supporters for cheering death of Koch brother.

CNN.

Leaders should be more mature than the voters, not less.

Crowd For Cheering David Koch’s Death: ‘We Needn’t Do That’

By Tommy Christopher at Mediaite

"SNIP.....

An audience member who identified himself as “Sam from St. Paul” told Sanders he wanted to ask about criminal justice, and said “Yesterday, oligarch David Koch passed away” to a robust cheer from many in the crowd.

“And we’re going to be dealing with his pollution and the radicalization of his politics, he’s made a killing off of the misery of other people, and I want to talk about retroactive justice,” he continued, and asked “How would you follow up for the victims of folks who are coming down in the future generations?”

“I don’t applaud, you know, the death of somebody. We needn’t do that,” Sanders said, to little discernible reaction from the crowd.

“I think what we can say is that the Koch brothers and other billionaires, because of this disastrous Citizens United Supreme Court decision, have been able to spend hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars to represent the wealthy and the powerful, and the fossil fuel industry, which is where the Koch brothers made a lot of their money,” Sanders added.
