Still Loving You

Oh and:

Those entering the lounge should be prepared to show evidence of......
the ability to mind their own fucking business. If they have a mind at all.

oh goodness

stories never heard on DU before ~ at 14: I ran away from home. returned 3 days later. was suspended from school (one time only ) for a few days!

I don't remember if I told you that: I lived in Sheepshead Bay while attending Kingsboro.
Dated the president of a local corvette club.
Met Donald Trump while drinking with my bff from Long Island.
He took us to Les Club. and later drove us home. He made a date with me for the next evening . .
a hockey game (hate watching violence of any kind). The next morning what was I going to do didn't have his phone number so I stood him up for our second date.
a small fyi: that was the only time in my life that I've ever been so rude. I should have invited him in for coffee. I was so young. felt so bad about what I had done that I never hurt anyone in that manner ever again. So sorry Donald.

I was there:

The first Earth Day. Saint Marks Place. MacDougal Street. Washington Square Park. Central Park. Peaceful protests turning violent. Hated being teargassed.
Did quite a bit of work at 44 east 3rd Street, draft counseling.
Oh and, That graffiti . . . was mine. Reporter to Gandhi ~ What do you think about civilization

About In_The_Wind

Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night. Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight, And learn, too late, they grieve it on its way, Do not go gentle into that good night. Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light. ~~~~~~~~~ For, it ends in the blink of an eye. Carpe Diem (Seize the day)!
