ALERT: Indian Point 2 Shuts Back Down to Weld Leaky Pipe, Test Breaker (12:05:50 PM)

Engineers found a small leak of Hudson River water from a pipe in a non-radioactive system.

BUCHANAN, NY – Control room operators at Entergy’s Indian Point Unit 2 nuclear power plant temporarily removed the plant from service Friday morning to complete weld repairs to a pipe that had been leaking a small amount of Hudson River water, and to enable workers from Con Edison to test a breaker in a switchyard located near Indian Point in Buchanan, company officials announced.

Unit 2 only just went back online -- June 16 -- after having been shut down for refueling and a 10-year inspection under its Aging Management Program that found degraded bolts inside the reactor.

Summer is here. Do you swim in warm freshwater? 3 tips to remember if you do:

Don't swim in or jump into warm freshwater lakes and rivers.

Hold your nose shut or use nose clips when jumping or diving into warm bodies of fresh water.

Avoid disturbing the sediment while swimming in shallow, warm fresh waters.

Have fun and stay safe.

I found a glitch ( I think ). An OP I posted in The Lounge went missing.

It's in my Journal.

Obviously other DUers see it because they are posting in the thread.

I looked in my trashcan just in case I did something wrong but I didn't toss it out.

Did I do something wrong?

Pink ~ Crystal ball

"Crystal Ball"

Drinking wine and thinking bliss, is on the other side of this
I just need a compass and a willing accomplice
All my doubts that fill my head cascading up and down again
Up and down and round again, down and up and down again.

Oh, I've had my chances and I've taken them all.
Just to end up right back here on the floor.
To end up right back here in on the floor.

Pennies in a well, a million dollars in the fountain of a hotel.
Fortune teller that says maybe you will go to hell.
But I'm not scared at all...hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm

The cracks in the crystal, the cracks in the crystal ball.

Sometimes you think everything is wrapped inside a diamond ring
Love just needs a witness and a little forgiveness
And a halo of patience and a less sporadic pace and
I'm learning to be brave in my beautiful mistakes.

Oh I've felt that fire and I've been burned
But I wouldn't trade the pain for what I've learned
I wouldn't trade the pain for what I've learned.

Pennies in a well, a million dollars in the fountain of a hotel.
Fortune teller that says maybe you will go to hell.
But I'm not scared at all...hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm

Of the cracks in the crystal, the cracks in the crystal ball.

Irony, irony, this hate and love, hate and love
What it does to me, what it's done to me.
What is done...done

Pennies in a well, a million dollars in the fountain of a hotel.
Broken mirrors and a black cats cold stare,
Walk under ladders on my way to hell, I'll meet you there.

But I'm not scared at all, hmm...I'm not scared at all.

Of the cracks in the crystal, the cracks in the crystal ball

About In_The_Wind

Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night. Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight, And learn, too late, they grieve it on its way, Do not go gentle into that good night. Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light. ~~~~~~~~~ For, it ends in the blink of an eye. Carpe Diem (Seize the day)!
