Brigid's JournalJust saw "Noah." *No Spoilers*
One seriously dark, impressive piece of filmmaking. I got it from Redbox; eventually I must add it to my Blu-Ray collection.
Funniest incident of street (non) harrassment I've ever experienced.
I was walking up the street a little while ago, and some guy said, "You walk like a soldier." I said, "no, like a Marine." We both laughed. Of course, I didn't tell him I got out of the Corps 30 years ago.
My favorite Dorothea Lange photograph.

I don't know if it has a title. I don't know who this man was, or what his story was. It is not Dorothea Lange's most famous Depression-era photograph, but I think it is absolutely haunting. The man looks like a soldier suffering from a severe case of what was once called "shell shock." It is no wonder that Lange first made her mark as a photographer with portraits.
Does any of this sound familiar?
"Sharks are coming down at 2 inches per hour!"
-- Stephanie Abrams in "Sharknado2".
OK, so I'm easily amused.
Loveliest song you will hear today, I guarantee.
