US to relocate its Vatican embassy to Rome

RT America·Published on Nov 27, 2013

Citing security concerns and cost savings, the State Department announced the United States is closing its embassy in the Vatican City, and will relocate it to a building on the compound of the American Embassy to Italy in Rome.

Vatican City is a sovereign city-state within the city of Rome. The relocation will save an estimated $1.4 million per year, the State Department said. Critics, including former US representatives to the Holy See, say that it's important for countries to maintain separate embassies to the Vatican and to Rome.

The announcement comes at the same time as the new pope, Pope Francis, criticized the free-market economy and trickle-down economics of the US. RT's Ameera David dives deeper into the meaning of the embassy realignment with Jimmy Akin, the senior apologist for Catholic.com.

Georgia Court Reportedly Lists 'Slave' As Juror Occupation Option On Questionnaire

TRENDINGNEWSCLIPZ·Published on Nov 26, 2013

A Georgia court is struggling to explain a report that it listed "slave" as an occupation on its juror questionnaire.

On Monday, a prospective juror in Dekalb County told local NBC affiliate 11Alive that he typed the letter "S" for "Sales" on the online questionnaire and said the word "Slave" popped up instead.

Court Administrator Cathy McCumber told the station that the online form is a month old but was derived from an older list that's been used to survey jurors for 13 years. The web development company that the court contracted to make the form says the occupations are user-generated.

McCumber told 11Alive she's not sure if someone added "Slave" after the court put the questionnaire online or if it had always been listed among the other occupations.

The Dekalb County Court did not respond to our request for comment.

Some online commenters speculated that the incident was a bad joke or a prank by a disgruntled employee. Others simply expressed outrage that such a thing could even happen.

USA Today reader Peggy England called it a "low down dirty shame," while Dallas resident Peter Klepinowski declared the following on 11Alive's website: "The court needs to apologize and investigate."

Russell Brand - The only thing that matters to any of us is Love

Tim Shieff·Published on Nov 21, 2013

What a privilege it was to edit the words of one of the greatest men of our generation.

Having said that this video is not about Russell Brand at all it is about the message and that message has never been more simple, its LOVE.

I share a lot of the same beliefs with Russell and was inspired to do this project as he says things I feel and in such an open, honest and pure way on media platforms in the public eye.

Trimmed from hours of inspiring, loving and pure truth interviews/talks Russell has been involved in throughout the last year.

I do not own any of the rights to the visual or audio content within this video. It was made as creative project. An expression of newage theories in a somewhat artistic way.

Did Blair Deng Murdoch's Belle?

Tony Blair Denies Putting His Danglybits In Wendi Deng Murdoch’s Vengeful Chasm

WONKETTE
by Rebecca Schoenkopf

Sad news, friends, and that sad news is that a wonderful friendship, a bromance for the ages, is no more just because Rupert Murdoch thinks former prime minister and US buttboy Tony Blair was puttin’ it to his wife, Wendi Deng. Obviously, this is untrue, as no man can survive Wendi Deng’s ladygarden.

But while we know it is untrue, because Science, why might Rupert Murdoch have believed it? Oh no reason, none at all, nothing to see here folks do move along!

{Trigger Warning for quoting from the Daily Mail}:
Sources close to Mr Murdoch in London say that staff at his home in California claimed Mr Blair and Ms Deng stayed there overnight at the same time on weekends in October 2012 and April this year, without Mr Murdoch’s knowledge.

It is also claimed that Mr Blair and Ms Deng had ‘multiple encounters’ of which Mr Murdoch was unaware. They are said to include a weekend overnight stay at Mr Murdoch’s home in Los Angeles and meetings in London and New York.

There is no suggestion by this newspaper of any impropriety by Mr Blair or Ms Deng. And Mr Blair’s friends have repeatedly denied he had an affair with Ms Deng.

- This puts Rupert's phone-bugging issues into a different perspective. Particularly if he just started out trying to catch his wife bopping the PM, and ended up catching everybody else screwing everyone else's wife/husband, or whatever. Or screwing-over someone because they could.

He might have saved himself a lot of trouble if he'd checked with Wendy's 1st conquest. Ironically, usually when Rupert screws someone he's the one that walks away smiling.....

Whose Side Are You On? Anti-Austerity Cops Face Off Against Riot Police in Portugal

- It shouldn't be too much longer now......

Defending their pensions from the threat of ever-deepening austerity cuts, as many as ten thousand off-duty police officers and state security agents in Portugal found themselves on the other side of the barricades Thursday night as they faced down their on-duty colleagues in riot control gear.

With a march through Lisbon that ended at the steps of parliament, the angry police and security union members broke through security fences, and even briefly occupied the entrance to Parliament before the night was over.

The proposed cuts in public pensions are being demanded by the nation's creditors in exchange for a government bailout package received in 2011.
