Gotta agree with this....HOWEVER....

The back room maneuvering for 2016 is at a fever pitch. Maybe earlier than ever before. The Clinton's, if Hillary knows she's not going to run, want to be kingmakers. That means making it look early like she's in the race - period. Many believe it's just the opposite, the early maneuvering is a charade to play kingmaker for whomever the Clinton's want to "anoint."

Some, knowing this might be the case are paranoid and they are planning races earlier than usual because Hillary may know good and well she's not running and some are saying plan as if she's NOT going to run rather than ASSUME she is. Let's not forget that some of those closest to her when she was at State, and many close personal friends want her to not have to go through a national race as she approaches 70 years old. The holdout we don't know about? (But maybe Hillary already knows.) What does Chelsea think? She is, without question, her closest adviser. Yes, more so than Bill.

So very sad....She was (inside)

She was one-of-a-kind. I never knew a livelier, more vivacious, kind, warm, outgoing woman in the world of politics.

I feel so sad for Fritz Mondale. He's had to bury his child (Eleanor) and now Joan, in the last two and a half years.

I think often about those old days of Fritz Mondale, Hubert Humphrey, Fred Harris, Frank Church...and I can't help but wonder where the public servants like them have gone. Interestingly, all those people I just mentioned had strong and wonderful wives.

RIP, Joan Mondale. A great lady.
