Clinton moves to lock down New York

Clinton moves to lock down New York
Bernie Sanders is tapping into progressive enthusiasm, but Harlem stands as a Clinton stronghold.
By ANNIE KARNI 03/30/16 06:20 PM EDT

NEW YORK Ė Hillary Clinton is working hard in New York to make sure she doesn't get embarrassed in her own backyard. That effort kicked off Wednesday with a packed rally in Harlem, where Bernie Sanders has been hoping to make inroads ahead of the April 19 primary.

So far, Sanders hasnít had much success. While the Brooklyn-born Vermont senator has tapped into progressive enthusiasm in his home borough, heís struggling to infiltrate the historic black neighborhood in Upper Manhattan thatís the heart of Clinton Country. Sanders is even having difficulty nailing down a venue for a rally.

The money is on Hillary Clinton to bury Donald Trump

The money is on Hillary Clinton to bury Donald Trump
By LARRY LIGHT MONEYWATCH March 28, 2016, 6:00 AM

Prediction one: Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton will win their parties' nominations. Prediction two: Clinton will take the White House handily. At least, that's what political wagering websites say.

These operations, which distill the wisdom of crowds, turn out to be surprisingly solid when it comes to predicting presidential races. Their record for accuracy outdoes that of opinion polls.

Comedy post of the day...Sanders: Superdelegates may now be eyeing switch from Clinton

Sanders: Superdelegates may now be eyeing switch from Clinton
By Jessie Hellmann March 27, 2016, 09:12 am

After three big wins out west, Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders said he thinks many of the party's superdelegates who have pledged to rival Hillary Clinton will switch to his side.

"I think the momentum is with us," Sanders said on CNN's "State of the Union" with Jake Tapper on Sunday. "A lot of these superdelegates may rethink their positions with Secretary Clinton."

The latest delegate counts still put Sanders behind Clinton, however, with 1,004 pledged delegates to her 1,712.

I'm sure the same supers that Bernie and his acolyte bros demonized for months as evil un-democratic tools of wall street are now eager to join them after he won 3 small population states and remains far behind Hillary, an actual democrat no less.

See how much Bernie's tax plan would affect you...Vox Tax Calculator

This simple calculator tells you how each presidential candidate's tax plan affects you
Updated by Alvin Chang on March 25, 2016, 8:30 a.m

Donald Trump and Ted Cruz propose massive cuts that would greatly reduce federal income taxes on everyone, especially the wealthy, while cutting a wide host of government programs. Meanwhile, Bernie Sanders proposes virtually the opposite: tax increases on everyone, with hikes on the wealthy especially, while adding comprehensive government programs. And Hillary Clinton proposes much smaller tax increases, all focused on the rich.

But what do their plans mean for your federal tax liability?

Democratic Delegate Scorecard for March 25, 2016. Hillary: 126%...Bernie: 78%

Democratic Delegate Scorecard for March 25, 2016

NATIONAL POLITICS|By David Wasserman, March 25, 2016

After winning Arizona convincingly on Tuesday, Hillary Clinton maintains a virtually insurmountable lead over Bernie Sanders for the Democratic nomination. Despite her losses in Idaho and Utah, Clinton now has a pledged delegate lead of 1,228 to 934, meaning Sanders would need to win 58 percent of the remaining pledged delegates at stake to draw even with Clinton by June. That's a virtual impossibility given Democrats' all-proportional delegate allocation system.

Hillary Clinton retakes the lead over Bernie Sanders in Wisconsin

Hillary Clinton retakes the lead over Bernie Sanders in Wisconsin
By dailynewsbin | March 23, 2016

The state of Wisconsin appeared to be perhaps the largest state remaining on the democratic primary calendar that Bernie Sanders could win. In last monthís polling he led the state by one percent, a narrow lead within the margin of error, but enough to give him plenty of hope for winning the state. However, brand new polling says that Hillary Clinton has retaken the lead in Wisconsin, and by no small margin.

New polling from Emerson says that Hillary Clinton now leads the state of Wisconsin by six points over Bernie Sanders.
