Donald Trump has lied and cheated his way out of everything.

He will not be able to lie and cheat out of this one. He and his crowd are going down. It is just a matter of time.

A quiet revolution has taken place in the field of doing "research" and " information"

It began in the late 90s and has changed the way we get information. The so called "revolution" has changed information gathering, communication, and the way many people live. Libraries have changed in many ways as a result of this incredible change. Nevertheless, this is a totally quiet revolution. (or is it?)

I thought about this change a few moments ago as I typed another post at Democratic Underground. How does one change the way we get information in a quiet non-violent way. Is it even a "revolution"?
How does something like this happen? And what is it?

Five simple words: copy and paste then click That is all it is. You want to know something. Let's say that you see a name you have never heard of. So you take the mouse, (or its equivalent, maybe your finger if it is a hand held computer) and move it over the name. I just did it with a name, David Pecker. I thought that could be a made up name and wasn't real. The computer highlighted the name, I copied it, put the name in a box at the top of the screen, called "Google Search." Then I clicked on that little icon next to the box, and the computer searched the internet for links to that name.."David Pecker" I was thinking in my head, this is a joke, a pecker with a name like David Pecker.

..But the name is real. Instantly, yes instantly the computer/internet search found out that this name is a person who is CEO of the "National Inquirer." I guess this pecker is a real "Pecker."

Here is how this is a quiet revolution. I didn't have to go to a library to search for a name and then go to something called "Readers Guide" to find a magazine with something about David Pecker in it. Or a research compilation of names of famous people. In that book, I would look under the letter P for Pecker and then see if there is a listing. If there was such a book it would tell me about the "Pecker." I didn't have to look in my home collection of magazines, to find a celebrity with the name of David Pecker.

No looking in a book. No going to a library. Just "copy, paste, and then click" And I must add another idea: In some computers, ( I don't have one,) you can talk into the computer. It will find out about the name instantly. No copy, paste and search...it does it by talking to it. Is this a revolution, or a change, or what is it?

A short story highlights this. On September 11, 2001 at about 9 am I went to the local library to get on the computer to see what was happening. After a short time, someone said, "switch your computer too a particular site, there is something horrible going on" So I did. If I recall, the library had 6 computers for internet use, and I was on one of them. (I would always get there early to get one of the computers)

Now, things have changed. Children as young as 5 or 6 are walking around with hand held computers, and playing games on them. Now I am not making this up. At age 7, a child can learn to use the computer to search and find information. Also, the young boy or girl can call home on the computer to talk to mom or dad about the day's events. Or an emergency. Or anything. No library, no typing, no searching, just talk into a hand held devise that fits into a pocket. Yes, the thing must be charged up often to keep it going, but that is not difficult. Information gathering and communication has changed dramatically. Proof?..A corporation called "Apple" is the first trillion dollar company...Is that true? Wait, I better search for it on my computer....?

(side note..I found this in a search: Apple Hits $1 Trillion Market Cap Before Stock Market Close | Fortune)

fortune.com › Tech › Apple

20 hours ago - According to a quarterly report that Apple filed with the SEC on Wednesday, the company had 4,829,926,000 shares outstanding as of July 20, the most recent figure available. Based on that number, Apple's stock needed to reach $207.05 a share to be worth $1 trillion, which it did today.

Prediction: We will win the House and Senate by overwhelming margins. Everyone will be surprised.

It will be as large a victory, as it was a loss in 1972. No, I won't tell you why I think so, but one day after the election, by mid day, of that Wednesday morning, you will see I am correct. Well, I have been wrong so many times, so that will not bother me. And, what is wrong with a prediction of an election about 3 months into the future? I sure hope that I am right. And if I am, I will tell you why on that day. If I am wrong, well....What else is new?...(Why give away the secret...they are lurking here aren't they??)

About Trump, Sessions, "Witch Hunt", Cohen ..etc..Why Trump doesn't have a clue.

...In his past life, as a business man, TV star, cheater, liar, etc., Trump always bought his way out. When he couldn't, he declared "bankruptcy" and stiffed those he owed. In his mind, he came out ahead..with money, a woman, his status, etc...That may not have been real, but he rarely faced consequences for his deeds and lies.
The lawyers took care of it, or the money did.

..This is a different game. More lies, cheating, and bankruptcy will not save him. He cannot declare bankruptcy in this game. He can only resign in disgrace. He acts as if he can bully his way out with his "tweets" and temper tantrums. He can't.

He is up against the very best. If he finds a way to fire Mueller, it will get much worse. (he doesn't think that is possible, but it is) He seems to think this will end positively for him. Will the Republican Party back him up? Or, will the members of the Republican Party, in the end, try to save their own asses. Is the selfish Republican Party, (known for its self centered thinking), going to go down for Trump to save Trump? How many will give their whole careers just to save Trump?.. A very HUGE PILE OF S**T IS HEADING TO THE FAN, and the Pukes are going to sacrifice their careers to save Mr. Trump? They are going to stand in front of that pile as it hits the fan to protect Trump?.......
.
.I don't think so. I think Trump will have to take the smattering as it hits the fan, and the rest of them will run as far as they can to avoid the fallout. And I think it will hurt the Trump family in ways they cannot imagine. I can imagine the ways, but I don't think they can.

What are the 5 most important Senate elections in 2018? (if time permits, why?,more than 5 is OK.)

Only if time permits, give reasons. I would like to know what others think ..thank you.

Nevada...a possible pick up for our side. very good chance

Missouri ..Claire McCaskill is a seasoned fighter and has an excellent chance of winning, but Trump took this state by some points and it will be tight. We need to support her as best as possible.

Texas...another possible pick up. Cruz is not liked and a liar. Beneto has an excellent chance..News is that this is far closer than predicted.

North Dakota..Heidi will need all the help we can give just to keep her seat. If she looses, taking over the Senate could be most difficult. (Trump took the state by a number of points)

Florida If Bill Nelson looses against Rick Scott ( Scott is a total asshole) then taking over the Senate could be impossible (if we lose North Dakota and Florida, then forget taking the Senate)

ok, have at it..and... Need to understand this because it could help with potential donations. Thank You for any and all opinions

(CNN) — A white police officer in Michigan who says he was taunted by fellow officers when he told them that he was part black will receive a $65,000 settlement, his attorney said.

Sgt. Cleon Brown, a 19-year veteran with the police department in Hastings, Michigan, said a series of taunts began in 2016 when he took a genetic test through Ancestry.com and learned that he was 18% African.

His colleagues at the police department were whispering "Black Lives Matter" while pumping their fists as they walked past him and his police chief referred to him as "Kunta," he said. (Kunta Kinte is a character in Alex Haley's novel, "Roots: The Saga of an American Family."

"It was almost like a disgraced type of reaction that I got from them like, 'Why are you proud of this type of thing?'," he told CNN affiliate WDIV.

Plane crash in Mexico, Everyone Survives

Source: CNN

The left wing of the twin-engine jet initially touched the ground, causing the plane to lose both of its engines. The plane then skidded off the runway at the Guadalupe Victoria International Airport until it stopped about 300 meters away, Aispuro said.

Anabel Estrada -- a passenger from Joliet, Illinois -- felt like the aircraft had been battling against the heavy rain and wind before it hit the ground twice during the crash

"The second impact was a lot stronger. This is when I jumped and hit my head against the ceiling," Estrada said. "After the second impact, I saw flames in the cabin ahead of me."

All passengers and crew members evacuated the plane using its emergency evacuation slides before flames engulfed the aircraft, officials said.

I was thinking about the USA and population growth. A question about that..

Not a trick question, but do you know the answer?..(after some thought, I figured it out..but the
answer is easy.)

Here is the question....Since 1940, most of the strongest population growth in the USA has occurred in 3 states:

California, Texas, and Florida.. Why? or...Why not New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Illinois like it used to be? ...(.I guess it is more than one question, but it is about one idea,)
...

...Is there any one cause for the change? If there is one, what is it? ..It ain't a trick question, but I think there is one reason...(in my opinion...what is your opinion?)....and it is not..no, NOT... people having sex and having babies....that is NOT THE CORRECT ANSWER..

I am a bit out of it tonite, why not a quiz, like I used to give when I was a teacher in a high school?
